This should not have come as a surprise for you if you were a regular member of Blackcats-Games (BCG). If you logged onto Blackcats today, you would see a fake page instead of the familiar login page. Don’t worry, it’s not shut down or anything; this was intentional and is done for security reasons and to launch the upcoming referrals feature. Although tracker staff gave much publicity regarding homepage replacement, unique key generation and how to use the key and the fake page to login to the tracker, many users seem to have skipped reading all these (judging by the amount of mail we receive asking what to do with the fake page).
First of all, if you did not generate a key as instructed by many PMs, announcements and forum posts, say good bye to your account. According to site admin the accounts the did not generate a key will be deleted. If you did generate a key earlier, read on.
Here is how to use the fake login page to get access to Blackcats-games:
1. Visit the login page and enter your keyword in the search box.
2. The moment you type in your key word correctly, two boxes, one each for username and password will appear at the bottom of the page.
3. Type in your Blackcats username and password in these boxes and press enter. That’s all.
To login successfully, all three elements should match; your key, username and the password.

Yes indeed. I remember stoi saying 14000 members not even generated the key.
Cant' blame the admins. There were plenty of announcements before this was done. Those who lost the accounts must have been the inactive ones or collectors (or extremely careless dudes who missed all the PMs, announcements, forums posts etc).
Hey guys. Got a question concerning the fake page login. I created my keyword back in the days and everything works fine up until the part where the blackcats page is supposed to come up. I put in my username and password, but the firefox loads a little and comes back to the fake page. Am I doing something wrong? I'd appreciate anykind of suggestions.

Did you try logging in with Internet Explorer or with Opera?
It should load fine in FireFox. But some ppl on the BCG forums have reported similar problems with some versions of firefox.
I tried inserting an incorrect username and a password to those dialog boxes and then something similar to what you described above happened. Did you by any chance mistype the username or password?
Also, if you have any ad blockers running, try after disabling them.
Delete your cookies before retying.

If you by any chance forgot your password, just type recover in the search box. A box will pop up @ the bottom the the page where you can enter the email address you provided at time of signup. The password will be mailed to that email address.
Alright now. I recovered a new Keyword and a new Password, but still: Everytime I enter the new Password and hit Enter now I get the following Error:
403 Forbidden
Unauthorized IP address.
Is it possible that I tried too many times with a wrong password? I feel like a total dumba**. It cant be that hard to get back into my account. I'm gonna try again tommorow.

I was a superpower user and didn't log in for a while was just seeding loads and i've lost my account trying the recover thing but no email cause i didn't generate a key.

@BubbaBull: I have the same exact problem as you. I created my keyword some weeks ago, and I wrote it down. Now when I use it, the user/login form appears, but when I type them, I get returned to the fake page.
I tried recovering the password but nothing happens. A friend was in BC too, but he is not having this problem, and he can login perfectly.
Okay, I feel a bit stupid... I was trying to recover my password with the wrong e-mail. I recovered it with the right one, and reseted it. Now I can login.
For some reasong I couldn't login with the old password.

I just tried logging on today & noticed the same thing everybody else has. Did my keyword a while ago & tried using the generic website but when i type it in no ox or anything comes up. I disabled pop ups but still nothing. Even when i type recover nothing happens.

@brent: The first day the page went active it took a while (almost a minute or so) for the user/password buttons to appear after typing in your keyword, but now it should come up pretty quick.
Im using Firefox and have all page liberties (cookies, pop ups, etc.) enabled and it works fine when you type in the words correctly ;o)
Also dont youse copy/paste and dont confirm your keyword input with enter. Good Luck

If you need to recover your keyword, type in "recover" in the search box, but DO NOT press the search key or enter.
A box will appear at the bottom of the screen. Type in your email address you used to register with BC. It will reset your keyword and password.
Viola! You can now log back in!
I generated my keyword, and didn't write it down. I typed recover in, got sent an email saying click this link to reset but when I do that I just get a 404 error and the page doesn't load. Am I doing something wrong?

Does this thing work for proxy users? Because I type the key word and wait for like 10 minutes and nothing shows up at the bottom of the screen.

i.e- if you forget it and type recover the keyword will be mailed to the email u used during registration.

What do you mean? You can type in the word recover in the "search box" and the box will appear. Type in your email address and click the button. An email will be sent to you with your username and password and a new keyword. I think you forgot to read the post! XD

I was finally able to recover my keyword.
used the recover feature (like 15 times) and it finally worked.
Be sure to enter your e-mail address with the same CASE stile that you did in your account. Don't have the most freaking idea if this really affects somehow....but it worked for me.

This is f***ing bull****. The owners of this site are thieves. Tons of donators and power users who simply share without logging into the site regularly are getting screwed out of their money and their time and effort sharing.
To the idiots saying "well you should have read the instructions" guess what? Some of us have better sh** to do than log in every week and read the news. I was seeding several torrents and maintaining a ratio above 4.0 but because I don't log into the site for a couple of weeks I along with thousands of other people including _DONATORS_ get our accounts erased.
The people running this site are complete morons and thieves. You just cut your user base roughly in half and stole hundreds of dollars from donators.
I guess it never occurred to you imbeciles to send out an EMAIL to your users to alert them instead of posting a goddamn news post in case everyone isn't monitoring the news on a torrent site.

When you're on the fake page type in "recover" in the searchbox and there will be a textbox at the bottom of the page asking for your email. you can recover your account if you've generated a code.

I agree that they did everything they could to force people to generate the keys. I was one of the users who hadn't done so and was subject to a two-day ban to really drive home the point. The first thing I did when the site came back was generate my keyword. They did everything they could and should not be punished for others' irresponsibility.

I agreed to Lightning_Struck_Tower, stoi is a good admin and Blackcats is great. All this right, because of torrent trackers closes like oink.cd It's sad, but I lost my super power user account too. I didn't see any information on site or PM about this all. I was on my vacation and didn't even know about this.

On the contrary, there are over 330000 unused referrals in the system. But simply posting your email address and asking for a referral won't earn you one. Why? Because the inviter is responsible for the invitee.
One of the best methods to gain access to BCG is to become an active member of a forum like The Pirate Society, P2ptalk.org and filesharingtalk.com. Dont just sign up to ask for invites. Help others out, earn their trust and prove that you are a good user. Make some friends and the invites will come automatically.

True. I have 12 invites as a SPU, but I've only given one to a good friend of mine because you get one H/L leecher and you're fucked. Trusting a random anonymous person on the internet is how the Nigerian Scammers get rich.
I can understand your point of view, but admins should verify who was a PU and let him/her be admitted.

Uh... the reason BCG changed created the fake login page may partly be to foil 'internet police' investigating the site... Great job letting them in on the secret... hopefully one idiot doesn't ruin it for the rest of us that know to keep our mouths shut.
