I’ve seen many funny names for private torrent trackers, DDL forums and streaming sites during my time but this one gets the prize. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you say ‘Picrap’? Yeah, you guessed correct – it’s ‘piece of crap’. Picrap.com is a new movie and TV show steaming site that launched just recently. While it has an odd sounding name, the service works great and actually seems to hold a lot of promise. It’s a free TV show and movie streaming site which works from anywhere in the world (and not just from the United States like Hulu and numerous others). Although it hasn’t been a while since launch, Picrap already indexes episodes from over 1000 different TV shows, several hundred movies and a large number of movie trailers. In case you were wondering, streaming video content featured on this site do not come directly from rights holders. This removes any restrictions usually put forth by publishers and Picrap is able to index even the latest TV episodes without delay.

picrap logo

If video streams are not offered by rights holders then where do they come from? They are fetched from file sharing sites such as MegaVideo, ZShare, Wisevid and DivXDen. Picrap does not host any of the streamed video which essentially makes it a search engine for steaming content. However, the service is capable of playing most video streams from within Picrap.com itself, without redirecting visitors to an external site. There are advertisements in the web interface but I am yet to run across popups, pop unders or any other type of intrusive ad formats. Video quality is usually pretty good and in fact, most of the streams Picrap fetches have scene released HDTV rips as the video source:

picrap screenshot

Finding a TV show on Picrap is pretty easy. You can search for the show by it’s name - each TV show has it’s own page where all available episodes are listed (Note that the main TV shows page on Picrap does not list all of the indexed shows – you can use the search feature to avoid this minor annoyance). Clicking on an episode will take you to a separate page with an embedded video player and a list of available video streams. You can watch any of the listed streams but it looks as if MegaVideo sources are recommended – they can be played from within Picrap itself, can be played full screen, they stream without delay and the MV player has a pretty decent set of options. When you try to watch the newest episode of a show, you might sometimes get ‘Removed due to infringement’ message. In this case you can try another stream or just wait till another copy gets uploaded.

In addition to basic episode listing and streaming functionality, Picrap has some additional features which makes life easier for its users. For instance, you can use the built in TV guide to watch latest episodes of currently airing series instantly. There are separate RSS feeds for movies and TV shows, ability to report broken links as well as a list of most popular TV shows on site.

Picrap is a completely free service and does not even require registration. Hopefully, the site will survive interference from rights holders and stay online for a long time to come – this is a pretty useful site.

If you have been downloading stuff from BitTorrent trackers, one click hosting sites, Usenet or any other medium, you probably are familiar with NFO files. NFO files are used by the scene and P2P groups to communicate important release information, group news and other miscellaneous details that may be related to your download. NFOs are also used for communication between scene groups – for example SceneNotices and Scene rule sets. NFOMATION is a new free service that probably is the world’s first dedicated .NFO file host. It lets you upload NFO files, share the link with others and even renders the NFO along with ASCII art and other gizmos without harming its readability.

NFOMation

I’ve seen folks upload NFO files to services like PasteBin, etc only to get them screwed up with line numbering and several other quirks. With NFOMATION you will no longer run into these annoyances. In fact the service’s description in the ‘about’ page reads “ NFOmation is an upload and rendering service for 'fancy' text files called iNFO files. It is not an PasteBin”.

How NFOMATION works is pretty simple – you visit the service’s homepage and upload any NFO file. The service will then take you to a page that will render the NFO online. You can share the URL of this page on internet forums, chat rooms, IRC channels or wherever you like. Folks who visit the page will see the NFO file’s content’s along with ASCII graphics, etc in tact – in fact there will even be several options to customize the visual feel such as ‘Image View’, ‘Dos Text View’ and ‘Win Text View’. Viewers will not be required to download any files unless they specifically choose to do so – in which case it’s possible through the ‘Download’ button.

NFOMATION Render

The service is currently in public beta and supports uploading of files with .NFO and .txt extensions. Maximum file size is limited to 300kb. Next time you have an NFO file to share with others, don’t upload it to PasteBin (or upload it to any generic file host for that matter) – use NFOMATION :p

Several months ago we featured the direct download forum tpsBB here on FILEnetworks Blog. For those who missed it, tpsBB is a DDL forum with some very exclusive high definition movie releases. They are home to P2P encoder group NHANC3 and index a lot of HD encodes by groups such as CCnSS, AQUA, PRODJi, WHIZZ and of course NHANC3 themselves. This post however is not about tpsBB’s DDL section – it’s about their latest project, RapidLeeech. Simply put, RapidLeech lets users who do not have paid accounts on one click hosting sites (RapidShare, Megaupload, etc) enjoy premium features such as high speed downloads, support for download managers, no wait times/word verification (captcha), etc all for free. How are they doing it? Well, it’s an interesting method.

tpsBB

Here’s a summary of how RapidLeech works. Let us assume for a moment you need to download a file from RapidShare.

  1. Obtain the download link.
  2. Visit tpsBB’s RapidLeech section and paste the download link in the ‘Link to Transload’ field.
  3. Press the ‘Transload File’ button. The file will now be downloaded to tpsBB’s server. In some of the test cases we tried, the download speed (from RapidShare to tpsBB server) was hovering around 9000 KB/s which was in fact pretty good.
  4. Once loading is complete, you will be given a direct download link to the file (now hosted on tpsBB’s own servers).
  5. You can use this link to download the file. Unlike regular RapidShare links, tpsBB hosted files do not have wait times enabled, there are no speed restrictions and even download managers are supported.

To download files from one click hosts to their server, it seems tpsBB uses their own premium accounts for each particular service. If what’s posted on their forum is correct, they have 5 Rapidshare,1 Megaupload,1 Hotfile,1 Filefactory,1 Netload and1 Uploading.com premium accounts. But those are not the only services RapidLeech supports – it works with 72 different hosting services ( but dealing with above mentioned services might be faster and easier than others due to the availability of premium accounts).

RapidLeech

As an added bonus, you are able to manipulate the downloaded file stored on tpsBB server. You can view the file online, RAR or UNRAR it, add a password, rename file, split file into pieces, E-mail the file or even re-upload it to 64 different file hosting services.

As good as it sounds, there are some restrictions on this service. Files downloaded into tpsBB’s own server automatically get deleted within 2.5 hours. Additionally, their current hard drive capacity is around 900GB (of which around 30% was used at time of this post) and this could easily get filled as the site grows and more members are recruited. Anyways for now it' just works and is completely free – let’s hope it remains that way :).

RapidLeech service is password protected. However, you do not need invitations nor do you need to go through interviews to obtain a password. Here’s how you can get one:

  1. Register for a free account on tpsBB
  2. Log in, read this forum thread (point no. 2) for RapidLeech username and password
  3. Use the credentials obtained in step 2 to log into RapidLeech.

Note that this password might change after a certain number of hours. When/if this happens, the new password will be obtainable from the DDL forum, for all registered members.

RapidLeech Login URL: http://www.tpsbb.com/RL/

tpsBB Registration Link: http://tpsbb.com/register.php

tpsBB (DDL Forum) Review: [Click Here]

P.S. – As mentioned in the first paragraph, don’t forget to check out direct downloads sections maintained by NHANC3 and other groups at tpsBB forums. While RapidLeech is exciting, tpsBB remains to be a great DDL source for p2p HD encodes.

Special thanks to Tejas for the heads up.

It was after seeing the feedback we received for the previous post that I decided to write this article. Apparently, a lot more people (than we initially thought) do care about pre times and torrent races. If you are interested in a multi role site that acts as scene releases index, a pre database as well as a web based torrent pre times tracker (aka a tracer) you might want to check out TRAC3.ME. Trace.M3 maintains a pre database that indexes hundreds of scene and p2p releases daily. However, T.ME’s PreDB differs from those run by pure sceners  – first of all it’s publicly accessibly by anyone. Second, all releases indexed on Trac3.Me contain torrent racing information (which tracker indexed the release first) along with nuke information, file count and more.

Trace.Me

Although not very popular (Alexa rank above 500000), Trac3.me is not a young site. It’s a joint project APNet and ScnSrc that went public last October. During this time. the site has indexed 125621 scene releases which is not a bad feat at all. At the same time, it pulls torrent racing information from 60+ different private and semi private BitTorrent trackers.

Although we’ve been talking about it a lot, some of you might be unfamiliar with the term ‘torrent racing’. In the world of BitTorrent, the value of a site goes a lot higher if they are able to index a release within seconds after it’s leaked by a warez group in the scene (aka pre’d). Pre time on torrent trackers is usually the difference between time of original scene release and the time it was uploaded to the tracker. What Trac3.me does is that it ranks torrent sites by the best pre times.

Trac3.Me Pre Times

Those little icons you see below a release name all represent a torrent site. If you hover the mouse cursor over them, you’ll see the time each tracker took to upload the release. The first tracker to upload a release wins that particular race. Following trackers have registered the most number of race wins on Trac3.me, so far:

  • SCC – 16673
  • PTM – 9424
  • DDT – 8323
  • DH – 6662
  • TB – 6434

As mentioned above Trac3.me is public. Registration is not required and anyone free to access the site and use all of its features including search.

ShadyURL – The Opposite Of URL Shorteners

Posted by TEAM FILEnetworks | 2/21/2010 | | 4 Comments »

A couple of years back, there weren’t too many URL shorteners around. There was tinyURL and a few others. Situation today is different – there are hundreds of these services around, all focused on making long URLs shorter and easily readable. But have you heard about a URL ‘lengthener’? ShadyURL is one such service that does it. ShadyURL sure as hell wouldn’t shorten your URL. Instead, it’ll disguise your link as something malicious no one in their right mind would click. You heard correct, their tagline is “Don't just shorten your URL, make it suspicious and frightening”. If you need to see what generated URLs look like, few links we created are posted below:

ShadyURL

FYI none of the above links contain any malware or some other crap. All ShadyURLs will redirect to the stated original site :p. If you want to actually make your URLs relatively shorter and look a little less menacing, ShadyURL has an option for that too. Just tick the ‘Shorten’ checkbox before generating the link.

If you rely on the internet to watch TV shows you most probably use a BitTorrent tracker to fulfill your needs. However, online video streaming sites seem to be an equally popular medium among TV fanatics. One worrying factor is that largest free streaming sites such as Hulu, Fancast, etc don’t work outside the United States. It’s a little retarded as it’s the countries *outside* the US that would mostly benefit from such services. Why? Because in some regions (such as Sri Lanka), you don’t always get to watch the latest episodes of US/Canadian shows even if you subscribe to cable or satellite TV with premium channels (sometimes episodes are aired weeks later than their original US airdate). Anyways if you are looking to watch TV shows online from anywhere in the world without restrictions, check Tvgorge out. It’s a new free service that actually works.

tvgorge

So what exactly is TVgorge? A brief introduction is given in their ‘About Us’ page which is quoted below:

TVGorge.com's mission is to bring high quality streaming television shows to the masses. We accomplish this by searching and indexing TV streaming websites around the globe. Once our proprietary script has found the best source for a given TV show, it automatically compiles the information for our database.

Best thing about this service is that you don’t get redirected to a dozen external sites whenever you try to watch an episode (which is the case with most streaming sites out there). Although TVgorge gathers content from external sources, you get to watch all streaming feeds through the site’s own embedded media player based on the open source flowplayer. In other words, watching something you like is usually a one click process on TVgorge – quick, without any crap involved.

TVGorge Screenshot

Albeit a new service, TVgorge already indexes thousands of episodes related to more than 125 different TV shows spanning across multiple seasons. All of the shows featured on this site come complete with episode guides and are searchable either by episode number or by season. Both new content as well as previously aired episodes that belong to older seasons are indexed. Video quality was medium for most of the episodes (looked like they were captured from HDTV streams) we checked but it was very watchable.

All in all Tvgorge is an excellent solution for folks in countries that are restricted by Hulu.com and the likes. If this service continues to grow (and runs without  interference from rights holders), it’ll definitely be embraced by TV show fans all over the world.

Note: To watch videos on TVgorge, you need to have the latest version of Adobe Flash player plugin installed for your browser. You can download it from here.

Chances are high that all of us have used an online image hosting service at least once in our lives (if you are a private tracker hunter you definitely would have used one to store ratio proofs :p). Right now there are thousands of Image hosts online, ranging from popular sites such as as ImageShack to lesser known sites such as the one we’re going to tell you about today. Most of the ‘free’ image hosting solutions usually come with some form of limitation such as bandwidth/storage restrictions. However, LeetLeech, a new service that launched just few weeks ago, offers its users unlimited bandwidth and storage absolutely for free. It can be termed as pirate-friendly image host and in fact, its backed by some veteran members in the BitTorrent community as well.

LeetLeech

Although LeetLeech does not impose any restrictions on bandwidth limit or the allocated storage space, it does have a restriction on the file size; the size of an individual file uploaded to the service cannot exceed 2MB. You can either upload files on your computer or your can upload files using URLs. The screenshot below highlights features associated with each of those options:

LeetLeech Screenshot

Uploaded images automatically generate the following; Direct Link, Thumbnail for Website and Thumbnail for Forum. Note that in order to upload, you need to be a registered member of the site. Registration is free and LeetLeech is currently accepting new members. If you are looking for a free yet unrestricted image host, check this site out.

We’re now living in an era when file hosting services have peaked in popularity. One click hosting sites like RapidShare and Megaupload are increasingly being used to transfer large files such as movies, music, games and other content (both copyrighted and copyright free). Uploading a file to a one click hosting service is a relatively straightforward task. But what if you want to upload the same file, to multiple hosters without wasting precious bandwidth? This is where file spreader services come in. File spreaders are capable of automatically distributing a user upload across multiple one click hosters simultaneously. MirrorCreator is one such utility which boasts some impressive features.

MirrorCreator List

You don’t need to know rocket science to figure out how MirrorCreator works. The whole process can be broken down into three simple steps:

  1. You upload a file to MirrorCreator, ticking the one-click hosting service you need it distributed to.
  2. Once your upload finishes, MirroCreator begins to upload the file to selected hosting services
  3. MirrorCreator displays a page with download links to your file, now hosted on the services you selected at step 1.

MirrorCreator Links

You will also get a mirrorcreator link that points to the page with individual download links for different one click hosting service. By sharing this link on forums, direct download link sites and blogs, you’ll ensure the maximum availability of your files and others will be able to download from a service of their choice (even if the file gets deleted from one host, the copy uploaded to others will still be available). MirrorCreator currently supports 24 different one click hosting services – a file can be uploaded to a maximum of 8 hosts at once. If you are uploading a large file, you can specify your E-mail address and MirrorCreator will send you the links once upload is finished on their end.

This service however does have some rules. If your link does not receive visitors over X period of time, you risk getting your files deleted from the hosting sites. For more information about rules and guidelines on how to use this service, check out the FAQ.

Release blogs such as RLSLOG and ZeroSec are popular among online pirates because they announce (via new blog posts) when movies, music, games, applications and other content is leaked online. A regular article on a release blog usually comprises of a brief summary on what the release is about, links to release NFO and most importantly torrent or direct download links so readers may grab a non fake, legit version of the newly announced content. Although many do not know, directly linking to pirated material online can be illegal according to copyright laws in certain countries and even blogs (which do not actually host anything) can get into trouble when this is the case. This is where GetTheNew comes in.

GetTheNew

GetTheNew is a new release blog which is only around three months old. Although an infant when compared to the likes of ScceneSource, RLSLOG, ZeroSec, etc, GTN has already made a name for itself with fast release announcement times. It does not index a lot of daily releases but manages to get most of the major leaks onto the homepage not long after they are originally pre’d. The site comes with a customizable homepage (if you want to save preferences, you need to register), customizable RSS feeds, a Twitter feed and also with FaceBook integration.

GetTheNew Screenshot

Anyways what’s interesting about GetTheNew is not its content (which is common) but how they link to pirated releases. Unlike most sites out there, GTN does not directly place RapidShare or torrent links in blog posts. A button appears beneath each release description with the label GetTheNewRelName – when a user clicks this, two more buttons pop up – ‘Torrent’ and ‘Direct Download’. Clicking on either of these buttons will take you to a Google search results page

If you click the Torrent button the following search query is executed:

thepiratebay OR mininova OR torrentreactor OR isohunt OR sumotorrent "RELEASE NAME" filetype:torrent

And for Direct Download, the following is executed:

rapidshare.com OR hotfile.com OR depositfiles.com OR uploaded.to OR megaupload.com OR mediafire.com OR zshare.net OR sendspace.com OR sharebee.com "RELEASE NAME" -rls -warez -forum -blog -scnsrc -sharetera -katz -.cz -.ru -.ar –.org

Both queries are pretty effective and the results are usually spot on. Note that if a release is not uploaded to a BitTorrent tracker  (or a one click hosting site) when a user clicks the button, this would not work.

Anyways this is a perfect example of how Google can be used to search for and download pirated content. This may put anti piracy agencies in a real dilemma. When (or if) they want to take down a post on GetTheNew, should they send the takedown notice to GTN itself or to Google (for facilitating copyright infringement or some bs like that)? Or to both?

We have quite a few number of gaming fans among our readers. If you are  video gamer, here’s something that might interest you. GamerZines is a relatively new online service that offers free digital gaming magazine downloads. Yep, you can download the entire mag into your computer in PDF format and read it at leisure and you don’t even need to register to do that. Don’t worry – these are not sh1tty magazines full of spammy ads and useless info. From what I’ve seen so far, they are professionally designed and contain original content.

GamerZines

There are several different magazines offered at GamerZines - separate editions for gaming platforms such as the PC, PS3, XBOX360, PSP and so on. You can either subscribe to these issues for free or download individual issues just by visiting their web site. Magazines seem to be supported by advertisements – there are several full page ads but the editors have made sure to publish them without causing annoyances to the reader. Hope this wouldn’t change when GZ gets more popularity.

Like I said before Magazines have a professional layout and they do contain original content. For example it’s on PCGZine Issue #34 that I found the first English PC review of Piranha Byte’s Risen. Each issue consists of usual gamer mag stuff such as reviews, previews, hands-on, news, etc. It’s pretty interesting – check it out.

By the way, if you are a gaming magazines fan, you should check out Retrogames – it’s a unique forum that offers downloads of scanned versions of old game mags.

The word ‘uncensored’ seems to be attached with whatever service TPB crew launches – one of their recent projects, PasteBay, is no exception. As you might have guessed, PasteBay is a free text hosting service that is similar to Pastebin. Oh and yes, it’s uncensored. Although you can post whatever text you like to this service and share, PasteBay is designed with the focus of helping developers collaborate on debugging code snippets. If that didn’t make any sense, here is how it usually works (quoted from PasteBay FAQ):

PasteBay

  1. submit a code or textfragment to pastebin, getting a url like http://pastebay.com/1234
  2. paste the url into an IRC or IM conversation
  3. someone responds by reading and perhaps submitting a modification of your code
  4. you then view the modification, and collaborate with others
    End Quote.

Hope that cleared things up a little. One important fact that’s worth mentioning is that even if someone modifies your submitted post, the original is never changed. A new post is generated and you can easily compare the differences between original and modified version – a godsend if you are a software developer. However this doesn't mean you have to use the service exactly as described above nor do you have to be a software dev to make use of PasteBay. It hosts text and you can use it for your convenience any way you like (I.E. – you can even share SceneNotices :D )

Pastebay has several other great features such as code snippets highlighting, free subdomains, private pages, ability to password protect your text, post retention up to 1 day/1 month or forever, etc. The help page has more information on how to use these features.

There’s quite a lot of buzz on the web about VideoBay, the latest project launched by the crew behind world’s largest BitTorrent tracker. This post however is not about VideoBay but about another lesser known service launched by TPB crew; Slopsbox. Apparently TPB are not only capable of giving the finger to anti piracy groups but also of fighting E-mail spam too. Slopsbox is a free E-mail service which has some unique characteristics. Slopsbox addresses are disposable – you can instantly create one, use it and then forget all about it without having to worry about getting spammed.

slopsbox

How you can use Slopsbox is  explained in detail on the service’s homepage. Part of the description is quoted below:

When someone asks for your e-mail address, give them anything@slopsbox.com (or one of the other add-on domain names). You can replace "anything" with, well anything, i.e. douglas@slopsbox.com, asdfasdf@slopsbox.com or arrgh@slopsbox.com. Get the mail sent to the address you picked by entering the address in the field above and login.

Voila! There you have your spam, served cold. However, you can't get any attachments and mail is automatically deleted after 24 hours.

I’ve found Slopsbox pretty useful when signing up for unknown/random sites which require E-mail confirmation. Just provide an @slopsbox address, get the confirmation mail and forget about it. You wouldn't have to worry even if the site is used for E-mail account harvesting by spamming whackjobs.

However keep in mind that you won’t be able to (and you shouldn’t) use @slopbox addresses permanently. And be aware that anyone who knows the first part of the address will also be able to check the inbox as there is no password requirement.

We’ve been talking about lots and lots of private torrent trackers as of late but this post is an exception. ‘Classic Nick Shows’ is a private DDL (Direct Download Link) forum for sharing popular Nickelodeon cartoons. It’s a community driven site where individual episodes as well as complete season packs of popular Nick shows can be found. Although the site’s name contains the word ‘Classic’, it’s not only older Nickelodeon shows you can find on this site – download links to both old and new series are available. If you love Nick shows or have a kid who loves em, you might find this site useful.

classic nick shows logo

For the unregistered user, Classic Nick Shows (CNS) will look just like any other forum dedicated purely for the discussion of Nickelodeon Shows. This of course is not what CNS is entirely about. Once you register on the site and log in, a whole new section in the forums opens up – the ‘Downloads’ category. This is where you can find one click hosting (RapidShare, MediaFire, Megaupload, etc) links to Nick toons. Cartoons, live action series, made for TV movies, DVD releases and lots of other goodies are available in the downloads section.

Classic nick toons downloads section

With just over 4200 registered users and an Alexa rank of ~350000, Classic Nick Shows is somewhat of a lesser known forum. However that does not mean it’s dead – links to new shows are posted daily and the forums are pretty active.

As of 21/6/2009, public registrations for Classic Nick Shows is open. If you are interested, you can create a free account and check the site out. It’s a must have for any Nick fan out there.

Here is a site that fans of Asian movies, TV , anime and drama will enjoy greatly. AZNV provides free high quality streaming video for premium Asian content online. I’ve seen this site being listed on many private tracker automatic open signup checker sites and BitTorrent forums but it is NOT a torrent tracker. If you are looking for torrents do not even bother registering. AZNV is all about online streaming and it does not operate a BitTorrent tracker at all. Anyways lack of torrents does not mean this is a bad site – it’s an excellent resource for those who seek high quality online video streaming links for movies and TV shows from Asian region.

aznv tv

Those of you who are used to private BitTorrent trackers might find the site layout pretty unfamiliar. It however does come packed with features such as detailed content descriptions, favorites, bookmarks, popular categories, ability to sort content by language/country/rank, stream listings, user ratings for indexed shows and many other enhancements.

AZNV

Unlike popular streaming sites such as YouTube or DailyMotion, AZNV.TV does not use flash video. The reason is very well explained on the site itself:

AZNV.TV isn't your typical online video streaming site. We don't use flash, so you won't be watching anything in your web browser. Instead, the NSV container is used along with VP62 video and HE-AAC audio as our choice of codecs. Just for some quick history, we've been doing this since 2004 - way before sites like YouTube and Veoh were even around. And at that time, Flash video was uber crap and not fit for any kind of video streaming. The only options then were Windows Media, Real Media among some of the technologies available... but we chose NSV because at the time Winamp TV was popular and it did offered the best quality. Just ask some of our oldest members :)

Users without the necessary codecs to play AZTN’s streaming links will be automatically taken to a page with all the instructions and download links configure everything properly.

Unlike most other streaming sites, AZNV is not open to the public. Users either need to register during an open registrations period or need to get invited from an existing member. The does open up from time to time but open signups usually don’t last for more than a few minutes. At the time this post is being written, AZNV is open for registrations. We cannot guarantee it’ll be open for very long but if you are lucky, you might get in. If you couldn’t get in, don’t lose hope because it randomly opens up quite frequently

Do you frequently use cracks or key generators to illegitimately activate or remove limitations of commercial software? If you do, the name ‘TSRh’ might ring a bell. TSRh or ‘The Sabotage Rebellion hackers’ is a release group in the warez scene which was founded back in 1999. By 2009 the group has cracked as many as 10800+ commercial software. Generally, scene groups like to keep their stuff secret and within the scene. This does not seem to be the case with TEAM TSRh – they maintain their own web site along with few FTP servers that contain thousands of their releases, all publicly accessible.

tsrh

The official homepage of TSRh is located at http://tsrh.org.ua. This page is updated with any new releases pre’d by the group and it even has an RSS feed for new cracks/keygens. The page also hosts the TSRh release checker which is able to verify if a release is real or fake. Believe it or not, you can actually become a member of TSRh through their homepage. For this you’ll have to prove your skills by solving the ‘TSRh Trial KeygenMe’. The following is quoted from their members page:

now, you are a part of the game, too. all your personal qualities have been logged and u can't exit until your death. its game of information... someone call it illegal, someone can't agree with it or tries to deny it, it makes one disappoint, or happy, but cracking force exist without asking for your opinion. the crime of the most enthusiasts is that of curiosity, is that of reversing, is that of willing to know 'how it must be'. and they explore... they change bytes, they unpack, debug and analyze those 'uncrackable routines' you can't even imagine, and it gives them pleasure, it gives them knowledge...

What’s even more interesting is that they have got quite a few members who joined in 2009. With the help of these new recruits, TSRh seems to be invading the mobile scene as well as the MAC scene, in addition to their usual PC appz operations.

And now the part most of you will really be interested in – the FTP servers. TSRh have made a large portion of their crack and key generator releases available on several public FTP servers. Thousands of releases pre’d after the year 2003 are freely downloadable from these locations.

There are a total of three different servers listed on TSRh mirror’s page. Some require username and password to log in – these are provided on the page itself.

This post will hopefully be useful to those who download untouched DVD-R movies, TV shows and documentaries released by groups from the warez scene. As we have mentioned before, all scene releases should conform to a pre specified set of rules if they are not to be nuked (trashed). However you might have already figured out that even sceners do not pre perfect releases - you may have come across DVD-R’s that have out of sync audio, missing menus, missing or out of sync subtitles and various other issues. Did you know that there is a site that indexes all sorts of fixes for such problematic DVDR releases?

DVDRFiXES

DVDRFIXES is a site that offers direct download links to various PROPERs and FiXES for DVD-R’s pred by release groups. Note that this site is not a torrent tracker – it offers direct download links and all files are hosted on the site itself. It should also be noted that DVDRFIXES does not host any movies – only the fixes can be downloaded. Speaking of these so called 'fixes', there are many types of them out there - Syncfix, Subfix, PROPER, PPFFix, Fix, MiscFix. MenuFix, Audiofix, Navfix, Patch, Labelfix, and a whole lot of others. The names may look weird to the average user but these are scene terminology derived as per scene naming rules.

So far I’ve downloaded quite a few files from this site and haven’t found any nasties (trojans, malware, etc) in any of them. As for instructions on how to use these fixes, they can usually be found in the accompanying NFO file.

Site Name: DVDRFIXES (http://www.dvdrfixes.com)

These days you hear a lot about torrent sites going offline for indefinite periods of time – several days ago SceneAccess (SCC) was down for around 24 hours and today another popular tracker TorrentLeech too suffered from prolonged downtime. One thing we have noticed when a popular tracker suddenly goes down is the increased number of E-Mails and comments posted by site’s users. Such responses are usually something similar to “what's up with [tracker name]? Is it down for you too?”. With the help of the sites posted below, you will no longer need to wait for others to verify this information for you.

1. DownForEveryoneOrJustMe (DFEOJM)

down for everyone or just me

All you have to do is to visit http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com and type in the web address of the site you want to check. If the site’s servers are offline, DFEOJM will let you know. If the service is able to access the site, this too will be communicated to you. If DFEOKM is able to access a site and you cannot, there may be something wrong at your end (note – this is just a possibility) .

2. IsThatSiteDown?

is that site down

http://isthatsitedown.com/ is another service similar to DownForEveryOneOrJustMe. This too lets you check if a site is really offline. Just like in the previous case, make sure you have no problems at your end if this service is able to reach a site that you cannot.

Although we wrote this article with BitTorrent trackers in mind, basically any site on the internet can be tested using the two services mentioned above. Note that none of these services check the functionality of a web site. They merely ping the site’s host through their servers.

This site was briefly mentioned in two of our previous posts but it deserves a separate post since it’s such a wonderful community. If you’ve been playing PC games you may have heard about Steam, the content distribution platform created by Valve. Steam was initially termed as the perfect solution for PC game piracy but that was only until hacked clients and Steam rips of games appeared. If you are thinking of pirating Steam protected PC games check out CS.RIN.RU – an underground community specializing in all sorts of steam rips and hacks.

cs.rin.ru

Most non Russian users visit  http://CS.RIN.RU only to find that it’s a site completely in Russian. But that’s not where all the fun is – did you know that RIN has an English forum (see end of article for link)? It’s an active forum which has cracks, patchers, emulators, launchers, hacked clients, non Steam gaming servers and other tools for Steam. There is also a downloads section where standalone Steam games and Steam rips (both GCF (Game Cache File) and NCF (No Cache File) based titles) are available for download. One great thing about CS.RIN.RU is that it even provides updates for the games available for download. If you are a complete noob to Steam hacks, there is no need to fear – RIN has a well written tutorials section which explains everything in detail. For starters, you can read the Non-Steam FAQ.

CS.Rin.RU threads

Like most private communities, CS.RIN.RU requires registration if you are to download anything from the site. Fortunately, registration is free and is currently open to all users.

Out of the several hundred public and private BitTorrent trackers posted here on FILEnetworks Blog, only a handful sites such as MVGroup, Docs4You, OneBigTorrent, Conspiracy Central, etc specialize in documentary series torrents.  Son of Shun is the latest addition to our list of specialized documentary sites-  it’s a private forum which contains several thousand verified documentary torrents, most of which are tracked by public torrent trackers. In short, it’s a great resource for documentary lovers.

son of shun

Son of Shun indexes torrents of documentaries aired on TV, cable, satellite and other networks. DVD documentaries too are sometimes indexed. Son of Shun however does not allow any documentaries aired on subscription networks such as HBO, Showtime, etc (with several exceptions, though). if you are too lazy to navigate forum threads - a full list of torrents can be found through this direct link.

son of shun list

Note that every single torrent found on this site are tracked by public torrent trackers. There is a specific uploader rule set against the uploading of private torrents:

Torrents must be listed on 100% public trackers; No trackers that require you to sign up, and no trackers with wait times or requiring DHT or other extended features.

As of 13/3/2009, Son of Shun indexes more than 4000 public documentary torrents and has a user base of over 11500 members. Apart from public torrents, the site has a section for user requests. This is pretty active and if you are looking for a rare torrent and cant find it anywhere, try requesting for it on Son of Shun forums.

Registrations for this site are currently open.

Several years ago, almost all movie rips circulating on the internet were those released by groups in the warez scene. This scenario is now different; over past few years popularity of p2p technologies such as BitTorrent have increased and this has given birth to entirely p2p based releasers and crackers, forming the p2p scene. The subject of this article, Superfundo, is a public BitTorrent index which indexes a lot of movie rips by p2p rippers such as aXXo, KLAXXON, FXG, FxM, leetay, iPAPULA, DEViSE and many more.

superfundo logo

Unlike private torrent trackers that are frequently featured here on FILEnetworks Blog, SuperFundo does not operate its own BitTorrent tracker. Torrents indexed on this site use external public trackers such as the one from ThePirateBay. One of the advantages SuperFundo has over other public torrent sites is the low number of fakes present. I’ve used the site for around an year so far and none of my downloads have turned out to be fakes, not yet anyways.

As mentioned above SuperFundo is a movie torrent index. It however does not only index scene releases like some private trackers. If you are looking for some of the finest p2p rips of movies around, this is a great place to find them. Rips by following p2p rippers/releasegroups are indexed at SuperFundo:

  • aXXo
  • DEViSE
  • FLAWL3SS
  • FXG
  • FxM
  • greenbud
  • KLAXXON
  • NewArtRiot
  • nHaNc3
  • RoCK
  • DragonRipper
  • iPAULA
  • kidzcorner
  • leetay
  • maelstrom
  • Rod
  • SecretMyth
  • VixenOfVenus

You can either search for a specific release or can simply view a list of newly released movies along with ripper names on SuperFundo homepage:

superfundo index

SuperFundo, being a public torrent index, seems to be mainly funded by advertising – the site has lots of advertisements, some of them adult in nature. Anyways if you use public torrent trackers, SuperFundo should be a good resource of you. Even if you are a private torrent tracker user, this site still might come in handy since most private trackers do not index rips by p2p rippers.

Site Name: SuperFundo (http://superfundo.org/)

Forum URL: http://forum.superfundo.cc/

SMS Updates: Yes. SuperFundo’s RSS Feed is compatible with SMS Updates. Read how to set up free SMS updates on new torrent releases in this article.
