Ever heard about GFXnews or TemplateP2P? BtTrove (BTT) is a forum based private torrent tracker which tracks content similar to both aforementioned torrent sites/DDL forums. The site indexes tutorials, software and premium resources related to web development, web design, graphics design, 2D/3D digital imaging, 3D animation, stock photography, music authoring, programming, networking and more. Needless to say, it’s a great tracker to have if you are a student, a professional or a mere enthusiast in any of these fields. Some of you may not have heard of this site but BTT has been around for a couple of years – it’s mostly been a closed, invite only community which might explain its lack of popularity in BitTorrent forums and news blogs. Either way, this site has opened public registrations for the first time in many years so in case you wanted to join, there would probably no better time to do so than now.

First of all, BtTrove is not just a private tracker – it does have a DDL section where you can find direct download links to files hosted on one click hosting services. However, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that most of the content indexed on site are shared as torrents, using its own private tracker. Torrents are pretty well seeded and usually have decent download speeds. At time of this posting, BTT had 4000+ registered members and tracked 1500+ active torrents with a couple hundred more links in its DDL section.

What sets BtTrove apart from other torrent sites is the type of content it tracks – files tracked by BTT’s tracker are not usually found elsewhere. You can find lots of tutorials related to technology fields such as web development, programming, networking, digital photography, painting, etc as well as lots of other premium resources including 2D/3D models, stock photography, templates, sound effects and more. In addition, BTT tracks a number of different software for music authoring, graphics design, 3D animation, digital imaging, programming, etc. The screenshot below captures part of torrent and DDL download sections on BTT:

As said earlier in this article, BTT is currently open for registration. Note that this is a site that has been invite only for more than two years straight. It might not appeal to everyone but if you are into programming, web development, graphics design, music authoring or 3D animation, this should be a great site and a community to be a part of.

As we reported previously in our heads up post, TemplateP2P has opened registrations for new users. If you don’t know what it is, TemplateP2P is a forum that is dedicated to web designing, programming and graphics designing related content. You can find a lot of templates (Template Monster, BoxedArt, Dream, etc), scripts (CMS, web and forum scripts such as PHP-Nuke, Joomla, VBulletin, etc), coding, fonts, tutorials, wallpapers, graphics, E-Books (on a wide range of programming/IT related categories) and lots of other content on TemplateP2P.

Unlike most sites we feature in our private trackers section, templateP2P primarily is not a BitTorrent tracker. It’s a private forum of trusted members sharing download links to content hosted on one click hosting sites such as Rapidshare and Megaupload. These links are verified and are pretty reliable - you can download without worrying. TemplateP2P currently has around 8000 members.

Above is an screenshot of the Ebooks section of TemplateP2P. A single blog post such as this is not enough to describe the vast content found on TemplateP2P. Let’s just say that it will be a great resource for those who are even remotely interested (beginners and professionals alike) in web designing, graphics designing, coding, programming or any information technology related topic.

Gfxnews is the sister site of Audionews (which is also open at the moment). Gfxnews is a community and a torrent tracker which has a lot of graphics design related content. This includes 3D content, Graphics editor apps, 3d animations and related apps, Tutorials and e-books on graphics design, fonts, templates, photostock content and the likes (see categories section below to get a better idea). In short, if you are even remotely interested in graphics editing/design or 3D animation, this tracker is a must have.

Gfxnews is a tracker based in Russia. The content however is in English. It’s a forum based tracker with over 50000 active members. Signups are currently open and if you are interested you can get in for free without an invitation.

TemplateP2P is useful private tracker for those who are into web designing. It does not matter if you are a student or a professional in the field, TempleteP2P is likely to track something you will find useful. From web applications to Template Monster templates, this tracker has a vast database of content related to web designing. TemplateP2P is a forum based tracker and has a user base in excess of 6000.

It's not everyday this tracker opens signups. In fact it used to have monthly signups but according to staff that will be discontinued. They plan to open this only 3-4 times a year, once this open signup is completed.
