The year 2011 has so far been a good one for sports torrent trackers. We’ve seem several well known dedicated sports sites opening signup (Racing Underground being one of them) and several lesser known sites gain more popularity. If you are a sports fanatic, here’s another torrent tracker that might interest you. SportHD is a specialized private BitTorrent tracker for all types of sports content. As the name suggests, bulk of the video material indexed here are in high definition (HD) quality. SportHD tracks full match videos, highlights and match previews/post match discussions, most of the content ripped from premium satellite or cable HD channels such ask Sky Sports, EurpoSport, HD Swiss, etc. Sports events covered here include Football, Tennis, Basketball, Rugby, Motorsports, Boxing & plus a few others. If you are interested in joining, signups are currently open.

SportHD is a site with its roots in Russia. Parts of the interface may contain Russian language but the average English speaking user should be able to find his way around the site without the need for any additional translation tools. Note that this is not a brand new site – the oldest active torrent indexed date back to September 2009, meaning that SportHD is at least one and a half years old. Currently, the site tracks over 850 torrents, almost all of them HD releases.

Most of the video files indexed on SportHD are either in 720p or 1080p high definition formats (and naturally, these are usually several gigabytes in file size). This tracker seems to have its own cappers who capture these off HD sports networks. You can see detailed information about a particular torrent in in the torrent description page – this includes screen grabs of the video, language details, from which network the match was captured from, etc. The screenshot below shows part of the torrent index at SportHD:

Although SportHD is a private community, you can preview indexed torrents, their descriptions and screenshots without having to create an account or log in. A registered account however is required for downloading any torrents. Registration is free and SportHD is currently open for signup – if you are a fan of sports content, check this site out.

How about a sports torrent tracker with open signups? Sport Torrent is a specialized private tracker which indexes content related to a number of different sports such as Rugby, Cricket, Football, Basketball, Baseball, Tennis, Boxing, Motorsports and more. The site covers almost all major tournaments and events including the Cricket world cup, 6 nations rugby, Champions league, NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB alongside many other premier series around the world. You can find and download full match videos, highlights packages, TV documentaries as well as other sports related resources on Sport Torrent. Although this tracker does not seem to be a hot topic on BitTorrent forums and blogs, it’s a very decent sports tracker with lots of members, torrents and activity. If you are interested in signing up, registrations are currently open.

Despite the lack of a celebrity status on BitTorrent forums, Sport Torrent is one of the largest dedicated sports trackers currently online. It has close to 18000 registered members and indexes over 3500 active torrents. Don’t expect this tracker to have the download speeds of SCC but vast majority of the torrents here are well seeded and have adequate speeds.

Being a niche tracker, Sport Torrent tracks a lot of unique content. This is thanks to the sites’ many internal encoders, uploaders and cappers who capture/record and upload events aired on cable, satellite, terrestrial television and other sources. As said earlier ST covers almost all major sporting events and features daily highlights packages, full matches, etc from ongoing events such as 6 nations Rugby and Cricket world cup 2011. Although most of the specialized sport torrent trackers are usually invite only communities, Sport Torrent is an exception. The site has regular open signups and is accepting new members as we speak. If you are a fan of sport, go ahead and check it out.

There aren’t many torrent trackers out there which index Cricket torrents. The game is only being played on a handful countries as opposed to sports such as Football. Despite this, Cricket has a growing number of fans across the world and it’s already a hugely popular sport in the Asian region. With the World Cup 2011 currently ongoing, the enthusiasm for Cricket is at its heights. However, the lack of Cricket related content has still not changed in the BitTorrent scene – although scene groups such as FAIRPLAY, etc. release match highlight videos,etc. it’s done in an inconsistent and an irregular manner. If you are looking to download World Cup Cricket torrents, here’s one tracker that has them; AcrossTheTasman. ATT tracks full match videos, highlights and TV documentaries related to CWC2011 and other events, both in standard and high definition. In addition to Cricket, this tracker has Rubgy, Mortor Racing, Tennis, Australian Soccer and other sports content indexed as well.

Some of you might be hearing about ATT for the very first time. But this isn’t a site that landed out of nowhere – AcrossTheTasman is a spinoff tracker by the same team who runs popular Diwana.org. They have been tracking Cricket content ever since inception and now, the coverage has expanded to World Cup 2011. It appears that ATT has their own cappers who capture the streams from live broadcasts (sans the commercials), encode them and upload them as torrents – daily highlights packages, full match videos and pre/post match commentary are all available, some in high definition formats.

A screenshot of ATT’s Cricket category can be seen in the screenshot above. World Cup 2011 has a separate section of its own deep down the Releases section and this is where everything is updated and indexed. We wouldn’t link to it directly but it’s easy enough to find.

Note that AcrossTheTasman is not a Cricket only private tracker. Here’s something you don’t see every day – Racing Underground (RU) has opened its doors to the public for a very limited amount of time. RU is a specialized racing torrent tracker and is without a doubt one of the best online resources for racing fans. The site covers everything from full race videos & highlights from almost all major racing events including Formula 1,2,3, MotoGP, GP2, GP3, WRC, BRC, IRC Rally events, etc to racing related E-books and even sports car and motorbike photography. Although some of you may not have heard of this tracker before, RU is a huge private torrent site with over 35000 indexed torrents. Keep in mind that this site almost never opens public signups. Even today’s open registration will only last for a mere 7 hours so hurry up and get in while you can – this is too good a tracker to miss out on.

Despite being a closed community for the most part, RU isn’t a private tracker that’s short of members. At the time this post was being written, Racing Underground was home to 25400+ active users and had over 35100 torrents in its database – this tracker is living proof that even niche torrent sites can attract the masses and gain popularity if they are managed well.

As it’s the case with most niche trackers, content is king on Racing Underground. The site tracks a ton of unique and exclusive torrents which you are not likely to find on any other private trackers. RU has it’s own cappers who are responsible for uploading full match videos and highlights captured from TV streams, cable and satellite broadcasts, etc. Pretty much everything from videos of all major racing events to E-books and photos related to racing can be found here. The screenshot below captures some of the torrent categories available on Racing Underground:

Coming back to open signups, Racing Underground staff have decided to open registrations for a very limited amount of time. A notice posted on site reads:

7 hours is indeed a very short window but many would agree that it’s a lot better than nothing.

When you talk about sports these days, the first thing that comes to mind is the football world cup which is going strong in South Africa. However, this is not another ‘where to find football WC torrents online’ post (if you are looking for a similar article, read this). This post is about, AcrossTheTasman (ATT), a dedicated sports torrent tracker that is home to sports releases not found on most other BitTorrent trackers. For instance, ATT is one of the very few sites that index cricket torrents. That’s not all, they have a lot of Rubgy, Mortor Racing, Tennis, Australian Soccer and other sports content indexed as well. Although usually closed for public registrations, AcrossTheTasman is currently open for signup – however don’t expect this to last forever. Anyway if you are a sports fan, this could be a very useful tracker to have.

Add to this motor racing torrents and Australian football games and you’ve got yourself a decent sports tracker. ATT has it’s own cappers for most of the sporting events it covers and this results in a lot of unique content  getting uploaded to the site (which is a good thing).

Usually, ATT is closed for public registrations. However currently the site is open for signup and is accepting new registrations. We do not know for how long the signups will remain open but if you are a sports fan, feel free to go ahead and check the site out.

It’s been ages since a dedicated sports torrent tracker was featured on this blog. To make up for this, we’re including 4 such specialized BitTorrent trackers in one article :) – Namely Footy Torrents, NHL Torrents, Hall of Fame Torrents and HD Sports Torrents. Between these four sites, you should be able to find and download almost any sports content ranging from Basketball, Baseball, Football (Soccer), American Football, Hockey, Wrestling, Boxing and even Racing. Most of the torrents point to files which are videos of either full matches or highlights packages. In addition, documentaries, DVD releases and sports related TV shows are also available. If you are wondering how to get into these sites, it’s done the old school way – signups are open and registration is free. Better yet, you get access to all four trackers once you register an account on the main BitTorrent site, NHLTorrents.

Note that all of these trackers are built on the same codebase (BtitTracker) and they more or less have the same set of usability features and visual layout. For example, all 4 sites have a ‘Cap Calendar’ which is used to organize recording and encoding of upcoming matches. The seed bonus system is also a common feature. However, note that the indexed torrents vary greatly between the sites – separate private BitTorrent trackers are used to manage the downloads and these trackers operate independent of each other.

Notes:

• If you create an account on NHLTorrents, you can use the same credentials to log into other three trackers.
• The signup link for all  sites will redirect to NHLTorrents (for the above reason). You will be shown a brief flash video which will outline site rules before you are actually taken to the signup page.

NHLTorrents is a well known private tracker for all things related to Hockey. It indexes match videos (both new and classic) and highlights packages related to tournaments such as NHL, AHL, KHL, DEL, etc as well as related documentaries and DVDs. NHLT seem to have their own cappers and encoders who make available sports content that are not found on other trackers or released by the scene.

Some of the popular events covered include NBA, NFL, NCAA, MLB, Wrestlemania, etc. Like all other sites in the NHLT network, HOFT has fairly good download speeds and decent activity.

One of the downsides is that HDST does not track any exclusive releases – all it does is indexing HD content found in either Footy Torrents, NHLTorrents or HOFT.

If you find the continuous posts about General/0Day torrent trackers monotonous, here’s a specialized tracker for a change. TC-Boxing aka Boxing Torrents is a sports torrent tracker that focuses on Boxing. If you are a fan of this awesome sport (like I am), this tracker could be what you are looking for. Fact that there aren’t many specialized Boxing trackers around (apart from a handful sites such as World Boxing Video Archive, etc) makes it even more useful. TC Boxing tracks match videos of both amateur and professional versions of the sport, DVD Documentaries and even some high definition content related to Boxing.

According to the official description of the site, TC Boxing is a “community created to discuss boxing and share videos of boxing matches from all over the world”. And that’s exactly what they do. This may be the first time you are hearing about the tracker but it’s not a brand new site at all. With over 2600 registered users and 1500+ torrents, TC-Boxing is a pretty well established niche tracker.

As you may have figured out, most of the torrents indexed on TC-Boxing are videos. This includes footage of matches (including foreign content and classics), TV documentaries, DVD releases and even radio shows. Categories listed include Amateur – Full, Career Set, Clip, DVD, Foreign – Excellent, Foreign – Fair, Foreign – Good, Foreign – Poor, Full – Excellent, Full – Fair, Full – Good, Full – Poor, HD and Misc. TC Boxing is not merely a tracker –it’s a community. They have a pretty active discussion forum and other community options such as a Hall of Fame, ScoreCard and so on. Signups for Boxing Torrents is currently open. It says on the homepage “2010-01-28 - Sign ups are now open, Bring a Friend!”. If you are a fan of Boxing this site may be well worth checking out.

If you like Wrestling and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) other action sports events, you’ll love this site. Full Contact Zone (better known as FCZ) is a private torrent tracker that specialize in sports such as Wrestling, UFC, Boxing, Kickboxing, Rugby and more. A few months ago FCZ was accessible via www.fullcontactzone.net URL. This has now changed – the site somehow lost the old domain name sometime back but it is now accessible without any issues via http://fullcontactzone.tv/. For those interested in joining, FCZ opened public signups on the 3rd week of this month and they remain open to date.

For a specialized action sports tracker, FCZ has pretty good statistics. They currently track close to 1000 active torrents and most of these are well seeded/have good download speeds. A steady number of new torrents are added to the site daily as well. The exact number of registered members is not known.

Speaking of content, FCZ is full of media related to UFC/Wrestling/MMA and other similar sports (they even have Rugby and Nascar torrents) – site lists 18 different sports events in the torrent index. In addition to videos, several Ebooks and instructional which can be pretty useful for beginners are also available on this tracker. Following screenshot captures part of FCZ’s torrent index:

  

Public sign ups for FullContactZone are currently open. In fact, they’ve been open since the 15th of this month. Following notice is posted on site homepage which is about the current open signup window:

But remind them to keep a good ratio (below 0.5 gets you into trouble, below 0.35 gets you in serious trouble, below 0.2 gets you a direct flight off the tracker) and keep your downloads seeded. We have updated the rule page to be more clear for everyone - and we may do it again to refine the amount of seeding time required by torrent sizes for example.
Seeding time is a requirement for everyone. So even if you have a good global ratio, when there are only few seeders on a torrent, you MUST seed it for 24 hours - or risk a warning / have your download rights taken.

We do not know when the signups will close. If you are interested, get in while you can.

It’s been a while since we covered a sports tracker (last featured sports sites being T3nnis.TV and ExtremeBits). Although we hear about General/0Day trackers opening up all the time, dedicated sports tracker launches are pretty rare. However today we are going to talk about Total Sports, the newest addition to the sports tracker scene dominated by giants such as Sportbit and Sport-Scene. Unlike many other similar trackers recently featured on FILEnetworks Blog, Total Sports does not focus on a specific sport – it tracks a wide variety of sporting events related to a number of different sports. In short, it’s a ‘general’ tracker for sports fans.

Total-Sports is a brand new torrent site which is only a day old. Following notice about the launch is posted on site homepage:

As we mentioned earlier, a number of different sports are covered on Total-Sports tracker. This includes Cricket, Baseball, BasketBall, Boxing, F1, Golf, Hockey, Football, Motorsports, Olympics, Surf, Tennis, US Football and X Games. The following screenshot shows part of the torrent index:

And by the way, kudos to whoever decided to index Cricket torrents – not even major sports trackers cover this stuff ( it might not be a hit in the U.S. but Cricket is hugely popular in countries such as Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, England, Australia, etc).

Coming back to site features, Total-Sports tracker has a pretty decent layout. It’s not based on Gazelle but the interface is clean and easy to navigate. Something I’ve noticed is that this tracker does not have a requests section or a seed bonus system – not yet anyways.

As of 18/6/2009, Total-Sports is open for registration. Since the site is new, you can expect the doors to stay open for a while. Anyways if you are a sports fan, check it out.

If you like action sports and extreme sports, here is some good news. ExtremeBits (XB), a private torrent tracker specializing in extreme sports related content, has opened public registrations after 5 long months. Although you may not have heard of it, this is a well established tracker that’s been around for a while (it was featured on this blog several months ago back in 2008). In addition to the large collection of sports related torrents that you might not find elsewhere, ExtremeBits has an excellent community of members and a nice, clean interface.

With over 3100 active torrents, ExtremeBits has one of the largest sports torrent indexes currently around. There has been a lot of dedicated sports trackers featured in FILEnetworks Blog before but we have never posted about a site that entirely focused on Tennis. T3nnis.tv is one such specializes Tennis torrent tracker which has a lot of international event (ATP, WTA, etc) videos, highlights, related TV shows and even movies. Even though this is a niche tracker, it has a strong following and is well established in the BitTorrent scene after being online for over a year. Good news is that registrations are open and interested members can now sign up for free.

As of 28/4/2009, T3nnis.tv currently has a user base of 15000+ members (this is a surprisingly large number for a niche tracker). The site also tracks close to 2500 active torrents. Seeding and maintaining a good ratio on this tracker is not that hard – there are tons of free leech and double upload enabled torrents. However in case you need some additional help with ratio building, the integrated karma bonus points system will come in handy.

As for the content, it’s all about Tennis. You can find pretty much anything (both old and new content) related to this sport on T3nnis.tv. The screenshot below captures some of the rare torrents found on this tracker (to get a better idea of what’s available, refer to the categories section towards the end of this article) :

About three weeks ago we posted about a private tracker that offered downloads to street racing, drag racing, rally, off road, Nascar, MotoGP and all sorts of other motorsports torrents – The Monkey Kingdom (TMK). However, much to the disappointment of its users, TMK was down in the past few days. There is no reason to worry as the site is now fully back up – they’ve changed the name to Formula Monkey and have moved to a new domain.

The downtime or the URL change has not caused any data loss at the Formula Monkey. They still track over 4300+ active torrents and has a user base of over 3600 members. All users stats including ratio and bonus points too remain unchanged. More information on this site’s content can be found our previous article located here.

If you registered on this tracker back when it was open, you can use the same user account to log in even at the new domain. lthough several general sports trackers such as Sport-Scene, Sportbit and Extremebits have been featured here on FILEnetworks Blog before, this is the first time a torrent tracker dedicated to motorsports is being posted. The Monkey Kingdom is a private torrent tracker that specializes in Motorsports events such as Formula 1, Superbike, Nascar, MotoGP, WRC, A1 GP (Grand Prix), GP2, drag racing, off road racing, street racing, drifting, Indycar and so on.

Although you may have never heard about this site before, Monkey Kingdom is not one of those lifeless trackers without any activity. It has over 3000 members and tracks over 4000 active torrents. Content on this site include videos of free practice, full races, qualifying rounds, highlights, etc related to a number of difference racing events and genres (see categories below for more information). Apart from actual races, Monkey Kingdom tracks motorsport/racing related TV shows (Top Gear), documentaries, movies, E-Books and even HD pictures.

There is a good number of torrent packs online on this tracker as well. This includes several full seasons of racing related TV shows as well as racing events. Most of these packs are on free leech.

Private torrent tracker Sport-Scene (SSC) is currently open for signup. It is undoubtedly one of the best sports trackers out there. This tracker does not open signups that often and there is a note on the front page about the current open signup period:

As you can see, a lot of bench warmers were lost few moments ago. That's because we decided to get rid of inactive ones. All bench warmers which were inactive for 30 days have been deleted, so we have plenty of places on the bench at the moment and we hope to find some good 'players' there for a new season.
From now on all bench warmers inactive for 30 days will be deleted by the system. Stars and above are immune to be deleted because of inactivity.

Our previous post was about a the general sports tracker Sportbit. This post is about Extremebits, a private torrent tracker specializing in Extreme sports and action sports. You can find many videos, TV series, documentaries and other stuff related to many extreme sports events such as Base jumping, Kayaking, Rock climbing and Skateboarding (See categories below for more info). I was able to find some really cool torrents such as MTV Jackass – Definitive –Collection 7DISCS BOXSET which really add some value to this tracker.

Sportbit is a private torrent tracker specializing in Sports content. You can find videos related to sports such as Formula 1, American Football, Basketball and more. Torrents related to popular events including (but not limited to) NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB are indexed. Apart from sporting events, Sportbit has a section dedicated to Sports Movies which currently has around 15 torrents. Only problem I found about this tracker is the lack of cricket torrents (and I am a die hard cricket fan :) ).

Sportbit currently has nearly 1000 active torrents and has a user base of over 18000 active members. If you are a sports fan, chances are high that you’ll love this tracker. It’s currently open for signups (and mind you it does not open up that often) so if you are interested, go check it out.
