If you are an avid reader of FILEnetworks Blog, you know that we bring you latest news and open signup updates on private trackers of all shapes and forms. The Iota Project (TiP) is one of the newer private trackers to enter the BitTorrent scene - It’s only about 3 weeks old and is very young. TiP is a general tracker which tracks a variety of scene and p2p releases across a number of different categories such as software, music and movies.

As of now, The Iota Project does not offer anything drastically different from what most other general/0Day trackers have. It currently has around 1000 members and track over 200 torrents. Although these stats may seem low when compared to other trackers, don’t forget that TiP is a brand new site. From what I have heard, there are some ex-staff members of Araditracker (R.I.P.) involved in The Iota Project. If this is true, you can expect good things coming from this tracker as Aradi was one of the best BitTorrent communities that existed.

In addition to the torrent files, TiP has already implemented many of the ‘value added’ features of a tracker such as a requests section, IRC support, forums and even radio. However it’s too early to tell if TiP will grow onto become one of the better private trackers or will fade away as just another general tracker. Signups are currently open and interested readers may join for free.

Anyone else having trouble signing up on this one? I can't get any confirmation emails from them. Using gmail, so that shouldn't be the problem. Tried twice over the past 2 days, with different usernames and a gmail account, and another attempt with a yahoo. Nothing.
Can't access their irc#help because I've got no valid username/pw!
    Too bad.

A registered nick is not required to access help from The Iota Project irc help channel, would be pointless if it required a registered nick. Problems with getting the confirmation email arise from several things, first we have had a lot of trouble with yahoo, live mail, and hotmail, this is due to their issues, not ours. We have been able to work around this as members let us know about it. So if you will try the irc help channel there you will find many of our staff there to assist you.
And @sliver, We do not fool ourselves in to thinking that the sun rises and sets on our little tracker, and yes we are small and new, but we are gaining about 100 new users a day due to the quality of our site and files. We are a new tracker yes but the experience we bring from aradi and many other sites gives us so much experience that we try to make sure that we avoid a lot of the new site problems that our peers have gone through. Some of the things that make us different, we have a very active irc along with a very large forum crowd, we offer top speeds and scene releases of so many different types of files. We also have streaming radio, which many sites are giving up, and our live dj's, from the old aradi radio staff, are active in irc, talking and playing requests. Now to keep in touch with our members we are offering many great things, contests where the dj's give away gb upload credits, the owner is nuts and has been known to just up and give away up load credits to all members, rummor has it he will again when they hit 3000 users! Also there is a contest for a 1tb western digital external drive. So we are offering a lot of things that most other "pointless trackers" don't. Now there are some really hot things we love to brag about, first is this is not your usual TS coded tracker, we have a team of the best coders, and they have provided us with a very nice interface and the best tracker there is all to make your visit with TiP the best, and this is a fast growing project, and only getting better! We are open registration right now but we will not be for long at this rate. So come by and check us out, and if you have any problems please use the irc help channel. enjoy!

    Dakz is just another LOCKDOWN.
Threw a hissy fit and shut the site down coz his staff weren't happy with the way he was running it.
I asked nicely if I could have my donation back if he was shutting it down. Since i'd only just given it a couple of days before.
Suprise suprise he took the money and ran.

I didn't run any where! I closed the site has I was tired of losing money on it and all the crying from n00b staff!!
I did leave a message for you on the site that I would gladly return your money to you, as soon as I broke even on the site, instead I ended up 2300 in the hole on it and nothing but n00bs and cry babies. I will be opening another site, it will NOT be torrents it will be direct download! Torrents are so 1990's
