GFTracker (GFT) invites available once again on IRC

GFT (GFTRacker) is a ratio free scene releases tracker which has gained huge popularity in the few months it’s been online. Although GFT is a relatively new tracker to the BitTorrent scene, it’s pre times are right up there with SCC and SCT and in some cases even beats them. They have also managed to add over 19500 torrents to the tracker during this time. If you were looking forward to get into GFT, here is some good news - IRC invites are back once again.

Initially, GFT invites could be obtained from their IRC channel after completing a simple questionnaire. This system was later discontinued and no invites were given via IRC in the last few months. Good news is that GFT staff have begun issuing invites on their invites channel once again. The only requirement to get one is to have a good ratio on a recognized private torrent tracker such as Torrent Damage, SCC, SCT, TorrentLeech, etc.

How to join GFT invites IRC channel

  1. Download and install mIRC from here. If you already have it, go to step 3)
  2. Restart your web browser if it was open during mIRC installation.
  3. Click on irc://irc.station51.net:6667/gft-invites to join the channel.
  4. If mIRC presents you with a ‘Link Request’ window, choose ‘Change to the new server and join the channel’ option or ‘open a new connection’ option. Press ok.
    If you are not using mIRC, just join #gft-invites channel on server irc://irc.station51.net:6667 from whatever IRC client you are using. If you don’t have an IRC client installed on your system, you can use the web based IM service Mibbit which supports IRC protocol.
  5. Once on the gft-Invites IRC channel, PM either Morph or BarryWhite (choose username from the list on the right panel and double click if using mIRC) and they will guide you on what to do next.

Yesterday it was TorrentLeech and today we have GFT. That’s two great trackers in two days folks!

    It was really easy to join. I had my invite in under 5 minutes.
    I think having that TL account from yesterday helped.

    This site is definitely up in the top 10 for me.

    Thanks file networks really easy to join mad props to you guy/guys. When they ask for link for major sites i gave revtt first. then they asked for any other i gave scl. So Scl and tl aare acceptable.

    I think they didn't want RevTT because the ratio's are inaccurate since the IRC giveaway.

    Ok makes sense that was a nice 30 gig buffer we got :).I gave scl and it was fine 3 gig up and 2 down told him id only joined. Didnt want to give my tl account as its only new to but a 0.5 ratio :( im preeseding lots to get it up tough.

    My TL was fine, 6gb up; 10mb down
    I had like a ratio of 400 and something. I just seeded stuff I got from other sites. It usually helps get you on your feet on new sites.

    The account was only 20 hours old.

    Glad everyone got in. GFT is without a doubt a great tracker. Even those torrents with 1 seeder have great speeds.

    Yes invites were given only for a few hours. Closed now. No idea when they will open up once again. Try idling on their IRC and make some friends there. You'll get in.

    anyone know how to get in bcg or revtt - i need xbox360 games, other (sky, midnight) trackers have only new games, but i prefer some old stuff.

    BCG has frozen all referrals as of now. For older stuff try underground-gamer. You can ask for an invite on their irc channel

    to my surprise UG has no xbox360 category =(

    only roms for sega and other consoles which is no doubt good, but not for me.

    i also tried demonoid (and even found burnout revenge uploaded 5 days ago) but that's all.

    now they require at least 50 gb upload on select list of trackers like TD, RevTT, etc.etc..
    i gave a TD with upload around 120gb, download 195gb, ratio 0.6 and got invited...:D

    I just got an invite to the GFT.
    The invite give away is still open .. all one have to do is show some good stats on 1-2 top level trackers.

    Actually yes there are around 30 more spots left. There seems to be a limit to the number of users allowed to join the channel at one time. Keep trying and you may get in.

    The gft giveaway ends midnight GMT and true the flipflop between(+i)and general mode for the channel is cause of the many requests,but if u know how to use the /msg function(wink,wink)all u have to know is who to PM even when you are not in the channel...so its still on..also iplay is taking requests for new memberships..

    Thanks for all the updates mate. btw that metal.iPlay you mentioned is RMT (Romanian Metal Torrents) rt? AFAIK iPlay general tracker is closed.

    Note, that's just based on alexa ranking, and doesn't take into account the community, or dedicated seeders. It does however give you a snapshot of what each tracker is. There are forums out there dedicated to reviewing private trackers, but those are always congested.

    IRC Channel for invites is closed, we are no longer giving out invites, our objective was to reach a certain amount of users.

    From this point on the site is INVITE ONLY. That means find a friend that has invites and trusts you.
