If you were a member of the popular private tracker BitNation (BN), you may already be aware that the site is now offline. But here is some good news that may cheer you up. BakedBits is a new private torrent tracker on the block. Although it’s started out by different owners, the site seems to have carried forward the old user base of BitNation.org. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for indexed torrents.
BakedBits’s stats page currently claims to have 20000+ users. They however have only 10 indexed torrents (so far). The following announcement is displayed on the homepage:
2008-12-14 - The site is now open in testing stage, report any issues/bugs in the forums.We are aware some things may not work and you may see some errors, just report them. All the major things should work, torrent, forums, comments, etc,, this backup is from an older backup; if you are coming from the old site your stats may have changed please be patient and report it in the forums and we will do our best to get it sorted. If you donated and do not have your expected status and have your paypal receipt then please pm staff and present it as proof and what you purchased.
At the time this post is being written, BakedBits is open for new registrations – interested readers may join for free.
