Earlier today we reported how Microsoft released Silverlight 2.0 Final. On the same day, Adobe have released the final version of Flash Player 10. This is a major upgrade over old v9 products and features 3D effects, advanced text support, dynamic sound generation, enhanced hardware acceleration along with many other features. Upgrading to the latest version of Flash player is strongly recommended non only for the new features but of the sake of security and reliability as well. Note that this post is about the Flash Player control for web browsers, not the Standalone flash player that comes with Adobe CS4 products.

would you know if there is a way to download from adobe a stand alone Flash for IE?
gdp,
If it is for IE then it's not standalone. (I.e. - it needs IE to run). As far as i know the only flash player version available for IE is the flash plugin which is linked to in the article.
If you are looking for a standalone player to play .swf files in Windows environment, it come swith Adobe Flash CS4. But there are many other media players capable of playing .swf files such as ACDsee and even jetaudio.
thanks for your prompt reply
what I meant was let's say I want to download the exe in order to install it on a PC that has no Internet connection, understand?
P.S. I love your blog!!!
GDP,
