If you're going to register to The Pirate Society, or any other torrent invite forum, make sure you don't use the same username, avatar, signature you do in any torrents site - especially if you plan on using that site as ratio proof.

Just curious, what's the reasoning behind that?

jelion, we've got several mails asking to be forwarded to you but we dont have your email. Send it to filenetworks[at]gmail[dot]com if possible.

For the obvious reason. I've seen too many people post up proofs without blacking out their names, ratio, etc. Many of them happen to use the same username as on the forum. Granted, they're not trading/giving away that site invite, just using them as proofs, but they still leave themselves vulnerable.

    Just safety practices.

I agreee with above that you should avoid using the same username as trackers when register tps.
if you use the same, ppl in tps can search your u/n in other trackers and get your profile links. If you said something they don't believe, they will check your profile links with staff they know on trackers you are in and even threaten to globally ban all of the trackers you are in~~~~It is not a safe place, there are nice people in there as well as not so nice people in their irc channel,I'd rather suggest you to keep a low profile if you are in

The Pirate Society is open sign up right now!

Get in while you can. It won't last long.

PS: There's no reason to keep a low profile, or to try to hide your identity if you're following the rules :)
