LeecherLair (LL) is definitely one of the better General/0Day trackers that are around. A few months ago LL underwent a URL change as the site was forced offline by the Malaysian government due to possible copyright infringement (without any investigations, as usual). We’ve refrained from posting the new tracker URL thus far but decided to go ahead with this article as the new location has been mentioned in almost every BitTorrent forum/blog currently in existence (in short, it’s not a secret anymore). For those interested in joining LL, the site is currently open for signup – if what we have heard is correct, today (1st of August) is the last day of open registrations.
LL is by no means a tiny BitTorrent tracker. It’s been around since 2006 and has amassed over 18500 active members as of 08/2009. The tracker currently indexes over 6200 torrents. Thanks to somewhat strict ratio rules (“please make sure that you seed everything to at least 1.1! or for a minimum of 48 hours”), most of the indexed torrents are in good health and have good download speeds (some with over 300 seeders).
As for the content, LL has all that a General/0Day tracker should have and then some more. In addition to Scene/P2P releases, they have the ‘LL Xclusives’ section which lists torrents totally unique to this tracker. There are some great packs online as well – some of these are shown in the screenshot below:
Site interface is user friendly and is not cluttered. Every major function is easily accessible via the left side panel. In addition, LL has the usual features of a BT tracker such as a bonus system, free leech, radio, live chat, forums (which are not that integrated to the tracker – you need a separate login) etc.
As mentioned above signups are currently open but this may not last for long. If you want to create an account, now would be a good time.

leecherslair the crappiest tracker on earth full of attitude and always begging for money, money either by promos or by pm's or even when a user cant fix his ratio. i had been an uploader for 6 years. they have overpowered staff who think they are next to god and that they can do anything a shame.

If You Ever get a PM With The Excuse "We Are A Site That Always Wants to Bring The Newest Torrents Unlike other Sites That Have Thousands of Outdated Torrents" it Means The Site Was Hacked and ALL Torrents and USERS PW's and Personal Information Has Been Compromised! Also When the Site Goes Down on a Regular Basis, It Is Because the Owner Took ALL the Money from the Members and Used it for Personal Reasons and NOT to Pay the Server Bill. How Do I Know All This? Because I was a Staff Member for Nearly 2 Years and I was Told by the Owner.
