By now all of you probably know about the dedicated movie torrent tracker Tehconnection (TC) – this site has been featured on FILEnetworks Blog a countless times. TC sure did take their time to migrate to Gazelle but the launch of Tehconnection V2 seems to have really kicked things off in grand style. During the month of March 2009, TC managed to double the size of their torrent index. This would not have been newsworthy if they only added a few hundred torrents, which was not the case. Instead, TC managed to add close to 3000 new movie torrents in the past 30 days – that’s and average of 100 new movies added per day!

3000 new torrents in a month is a great feat for any private tracker – it’s an even better feat when all of the new items added are high quality movies. Both new films as well as rare classics (some dating back to 1960s and 1970s) were added during this time. As of 4/4/2009, Tehconnection tracks 6100+ torrents ( 4800+ movies, some in both high definition and standard definition formats) and has a user base of 8000+ members.

A news post can be found on TC homepage which acknowledges this great achievement:

Congratulations to everyone who has participated in the contest over the last month! We set a pretty lofty goal, almost 3000 torrents in 30 days and there were those that worried that we'd never pull off such a momentous feat. We doubled our torrents and film counts in 30 days! We couldn't be more proud of all the work that's gone into the contest and everyone who's contributed.

Tehconnection has been on global free leech mode for the last 4 days – free leech period will continue till Sunday (5th). Public registrations for TC are currently closed. However if you are still not a member and want to get into this tracker – there is good news. You can easily obtain a TC invite through their IRC channel. For step by step instructions on how to do this, refer to our article located here.

Great site indeed but they have a seeding issue (i know, an upload contest just ended). Hopefully the Freeleech will help.
