Here’s a private torrent tracker you don’t see talked about very often. HD-Space is a specialized HD tracker that’s silently been growing without much publicity or hype. HD-Space indexes high definition movies, TV shows, documentaries, anime and HD Trailers like most other sites catering to this niche. HDS recently released its first major UI overhaul dubbed ‘HD Space v2’ and the new version seems to be well received by the vast majority of site’s users with a 97% approval rating in an ongoing poll. If you want to check out this tracker for yourself, signups are currently open.
Although there isn’t a lot of buzz in the BitTorrent community about HDS, this tracker is by no means a ghost town. It has a strong user base of 8400+ members and tracks over 1000 torrents (statistics as of 3/1/2010). Most of the torrents are well seeded and have relatively good download speeds.
As mentioned above, HD Space tracks movies, TV shows and other HD video content. Most of the videos are 720p or 1080p Blu-Ray in a x264 container (if you are looking for XViD encodes, you won’t find them here). Scene releases as well as a lot of non scene uploads by P2P groups are indexed. In fact, HDS has its own internal encoder group SpaceHD which releases exclusively on this tracker.
For those who find it difficult to seed back, a seed bonus system is present on HD Space. It’s the usual story – you gain bonus points based on the time you seed a torrent and you can later exchange them for upload credits to boost ratio. Seed bonus system is not the only aid on HDS for those struggling to maintain a good ratio. They have three types of ‘enhanced’ torrents which give various bonuses to the user when downloaded:
- Golden Torrents – Only upload is counted. Basically free leech torrents (designated by a spinning golden coin next to torrent name)
- Silver Torrents – Only half the size of actual download is logged in your ratio stats (spinning silver coin)
- Bronze Torrents – Only 1/3 the size of actual download is logged (spinning bronze coin)
HD Space is a private community but its open for public registrations right now. We do not know how long the open signups will continue – they may remain open for days or they may close in a few hours. Either way, it’s best to sign up ASAP if you are willing to get in.

I think TorrentLeech (TL) is down and probably get closed.
Someone in another tracker's IRC claimed this was posted there:
[23:39:18] _w00t_ [w00t@TL.God] has changed topic to " SITE BUSTED. IT WAS A FUNNY RIDE PEOPLE! PEACE AND SEE YOU AROUND THE NET. // Staff"
Can anyone confirm?
There is a problem with our ISP's network at the moment. Please be patient while they fix this.
