Pirates Crack F.E.A.R. 2 : Project Origin Steam Protection

Earlier we reported how a Steam version of F.E.A.R. 2 : Project Origin leaked to BitTorrent sites before the game’s official release. Pirates who downloaded this release were unable to play it as the game was protected by a release date check as well as an encryption key in Valve’s Steam protection. However, a group of pirates from a Russian underground community have apparently found a way to get the leaked release working using a combination of hacked Steam tools and leaked Steam encryption keys.

UPDATE: F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin-DIE has been released (Read about it here). F.E.A.R.2.Project.Origin.CRACK.UNPACK has also been released. Some have reported that certain versions of FEAR 2 does not contain blood and gore. In case you cannot see blood or can’t blow up soldiers, try the fix mentioned in this article.  

The forum we are talking about is CS.RIN.RU a community that specializes in hacked Steam clients, non-Steam (cracked) game servers, standalone Steam games, emulators, patches, loaders, launchers, game updates, tutorials, etc. CS.RIN.RU’s F.E.A.R. 2 : Project Origin thread now explains in detail the method to get the leaked version up and running. Apparently it involves combining .NRG, .SIM & .SID files from the leaked P2P release (FEAR 2-Project Origin READNFO-TL) with tools such as REVOLUTION LOADER V2, SimPack and the latest Steam client. Commands to inject Steam encryption keys to the leaked version of F.E.A.R. 2 are also given in the thread.

Update: Just like Burnout Paradise, it seems that online multiplayer works with the leaked/cracked release of F.E.A.R. 2.
