Son of Shun indexes torrents of documentaries aired on TV, cable, satellite and other networks. DVD documentaries too are sometimes indexed. However, this site does not allow any documentaries aired on subscription networks such as HBO, Showtime, etc to be indexed(with several exceptions, though). Although it started out as a lesser known site, Son of Shun has by today grown into a veteran forum with over 13000 members and 5500+ torrents (most of the torrents are public and are tracked by external trackers). One Big Torrent is a public torrent tracker and a BitTorrent index which lists torrents related to Current Affairs, News, Talks, Politics, Interviews and other similar content. TorrentsRmine (TRM) is a private torrent tracker for talk shows, rare TV series and documentaries. It’s a pretty small community but TrM tracks some torrents which you cannot find even on leading TV trackers out there. How does it get hold of such content? IT has its own ‘cappers’ – folks who capture television shows from sources HDTV, DSTV, etc (best examples are releases by NewWorld and bjdw). MVGroup is probably the biggest documentary download forum out there. Having been online for over 3 years, it’s probably one of the older sites of this genre too. Their tagline being “An Education in P2P”, MVG indexes tons of documentary and infotainment content uploaded as torrents, ED2K links or NZB files. Torrents are tracked by public trackers, some of which external to MVGroup. The site indexes both internal releases (some released in partnership with TV release group EZTV) as well as user uploads. In short, ScienceHD can be called as the BitMeTV of documentaries and science fiction.
