I have recently installed Virtual dj 5.2 pro on my Vista operating system. Really nifty piece of kit, looking forward to getting to grips with it. However, when I use the fingerpad or mouse to adjust the volume bar or to click on any of the buttons for sync, cue, samples etc etc, I hear a sound like a 'friction' sound, a sound that can be heard plainly through my external speakers. I have no idea how to remedy this. Is it a sound card problem or something else?
    Can anyone help?

    lechef66,
did you try upgrading your sound card drivers to the latest versions?

Hi Lightening, no I haven't. This Vista stuff is fairly new to me, it might take me a while to find where I can find the driver versions to check them!! lol
But you have given me an option at least so I will try right now.
    Thank you.

    lechef66,
If you can post the make and model of your sound card, we may be able to help you find a proper vista driver.

It seems that my Sound, video and game controller is Realtek High Definition Audio. Whether this is the correct device or not I don't know! The driver is 6.0.1.5413. I have clicked Update Driver and it responds by saying the driver is up to date. I have Virtual DJ on my 98 OS laptop and it is perfect!! Just this version on my Vista seems to be annoying.
