From time to time, we post about interesting one click hosting services on this blog whenever we stumble across them (such as S4VE.as). Senduit is another simple file hosting service that is great for lite use. The site sports an easy to use interface, fast upload download speeds and one click uploading. By one click uploading we mean that you don’t need to go through extra steps such as registration to get a file uploaded – all you need to do is to visit site homepage and hit the upload button. Note that there is a maximum file size limit of 100MB. Additionally, files do expire after a certain period of time but this is customizable.

Main reason why we said Senduit was good for ‘lite’ use was the file size limitation. Another drawback is that the service does not display an upload progress bar when a file is being uploaded. Like on most one click hosting services, files uploaded to senduit do expire after some time. However you can set the expiration period yourself. It can be set to anything from 30 minutes to 1 week. Also keep in mind that once you upload a file, there is no way to remove it. File will only be removed when it expires.

Senduit is a great service if you are dealing with files less than 100mb in size. Download speeds are often fast and downloads start without long wait times (a banner advertisement is usually shown in download page). Better yet, Senduit supports the use of Download manager software (tested with FDM – Free Download Manager).

In the past, we’ve made several attempts to combine the world of BitTorrent with social media giant Twitter. Twitter’s phenomenal growth in a quick span of time has made it a service that can no longer be ignored – even if you run a BitTorrent tracker. As a result, we have seen more private torrent trackers, public trackers and BT search engines making an active presence on Twitter, giving their followers real time updates on site status, downtimes, open signups, torrent upload notifications, etc. This article presents a summarized list of 25 Twitter accounts associated with BitTorrent sites. To add more value to the post, we’ve added signup URLs and IRC invite channel details to some of the featured trackers, where applicable.

Some of these accounts have not Tweeted in several months. However the vast majority of them are updated regularly, some even having daily to even hourly updates. It’s been ages since a specialized games torrent tracker was featured here on FILEnetworks Blog. But have no fear - GamesAccess (GA) is here to fill the void. GA is a games-only private tracker that has been online since 2008. We did in fact post an article about it last March, back when the site was open for signup. However lots of things have changed over at GA during the past couple of months; first major revision of the site (GA v2.0) was launched and the site went into invite-only mode for an extended period of time. Good news is that GamesAccess has re-opened public signups - you will not need an invitation code if you register during this time.

GA is a Polish private tracker. If you are an English speaking user, don’t let that bother you – almost all games indexed on GamesAccess are NA/EU releases. Anyways for a tracker that has been online since 2008, GA has received very little attention from the BitTorrent community (them being invite only might be one of the reasons). However as we see it, GA is a tracker that has a lot of potential. Even without much publicity it has managed to form an active user base comprising of around 2400 members.

As mentioned earlier, GA is a tracker best suited for game addicts. You can find games for multiple gaming platforms such as the PC, XBOX360, PS1/PS2, Mobile devices, etc. Both scene releases and P2P uploads are indexed. One of GA’s key strengths is its unique content. For example, it tracks over 30 games packs in the ‘Packs’ category – almost all of these exclusive to this tracker. Additionally, it is one of the very few private torrent trackers to track PC game rips. Even giants in this niche such as BlackCats games and BitGamer do not track that many PC game rips that mostly originate from P2P sources.

That being said, GA definitely has room for improvement. For example, it could do with a boost to the rate new torrents are being added. Right now only around 5 torrents are being added daily (site currently has 500 active torrents total) – being a niche tracker, this might be a reasonable number but it would be good to see more retro games, etc being uploaded on a frequent basis.

GamesAccess is currently open for signup and you no longer require an invite code during signup. We are unable to confirm till when the site would remain open. It’ll probably remain open till current max user limit (3000) is reached. After that, it might go invite only again for months so get in while you can.

As we mentioned earlier (via a Tweet), almost every private torrent tracker based in China seem to specialize in HD content. We’ve already covered about HDChina, HDStar, CHDBits, CCFBits, etc but that’s not all there is – here comes another. HDRoad is a China based private tracker that specializes in HD content. It has all sorts of HD content including Blu Ray movies, HDTV shows, TrueHD encodes, etc. The main concern for English speaking users would be the site interface – it’s in Chinese. However if you can tolerate the interface, you’ll find yourself to be a member of a private tracker rich with HD content. Yes – most of the indexed releases are international content released in UK/US and almost all have English audio.

HDRoad might not be popular in BitTorrent forums and such but the site has a decent user base; Currently there are over 13000 registered members. Close to 2500 active torrents are also indexed (as of 15/10/1985), making it a medium sized HD tracker compared to most other similar sites.

As we mentioned earlier, site interface is entirely in Chinese – English labels are not available even for the most used site functions such as Browse, Home, etc. Nevertheless, you should be able to easily find your way around HDRoad even without a translator as it follows standard private tracker layout.

Unlike the interface, most of the torrents indexed at HDRoad have English audio (torrent title is given in both English and Chinese so no problems there too). Movies and TV shows are indexed under the following set of categories:

Blu-ray/HDDVD, REMUX, HDTV/HDTVRip, BDRe/HDRe, CD, 1080P, 1080i, A1080, 720P, A720,LPCM, DTS-HDMA/DTS-HDHR, TrueHD, DTS(DTS-HDCore), AC-3(DD), APE, FLAC

They seem to have a lot of releases encoded by MySilu (which if I’m not mistaken is a DDL forum – probably HDRoad’s sister site). Even these encodes have English audio.

Getting into HDRoad is pretty easy (at least for now). Site is open for registration and interested readers can create a free account. If it remains open till the max user limit (15000) is reached, there will be space for 1500 new signups.

Anyone downloading pirated Windows releases should be familiar with the name BIE. BIE is a group in the warez scene who are responsible for cracking a number of different Microsoft Windows builds over the past couple of years. But in early 2009, BIE announced that they were quitting the scene – according to the NFO released at the time [read full NFO], it was done so that they could focus more on their families and real life.  However now, with the official release of Microsoft’s next operating system Windows 7 just a few days away, BIE has returned. In fact, the group has been releasing again since September 2009 after a silence of nearly 7 months.

Back when they quit, BIE’s Vista releases were huge hits among pirates. However some rumors attributed BIE’s ‘quittage’ with the new Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) developed by Microsoft. They claimed the group quit because they were unable to circumvent the new protection. However it seems BIE has proven these rumors false. Their return was marked with several cracked and leaked OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) builds of Windows 7 Ultimate. Not only could these images be used to illegitimately install Windows 7 on multiple PCs but pirates were seemingly able to activate Windows and even download online updates.

And now in October 2009, they’ve begun releasing Windows 7 ISO’s with integrated monthly updates – just like scene groups did for Windows Vista and XP (note that Windows 7 isn’t even officially out yet). BIE hasn’t been silent about their competition either – following is quoted from one of their NFO’s. It flames UP2DATE, a competing scene group who are also known for Windows releases:

b) Second UP2FUCK-Release: Handled some, but not all... perhaps with ReReRePack?!
c) See proofs....
d) All UP2DATE WIN 7-October-Releases will not be activated, because this guys are too stupid, to put their crack in the right folder. Thats not a Vista dude.... ;D
e) We will not tag our releases proper for UP2DATE anymore. Since they tried it, there was just crap! Plz just purge them!
f) Now UP2DATE is UP2CRY........plz just leave....    

Either way, folks at the anti piracy department of Microsoft won’t be happy to see the return of such a formidable scene group – specially one that takes pride in cracking Microsoft releases. However it would be interesting to see MS’s response – will it be a new update to the WGA? Or will it be some uber anti piracy measure we’ve never seen before? The war between pirates and MS rages on.

If you are a member of a private torrent tracker, chances are that you’ll already be familiar with seedboxes and other related terminology. But what if you don’t know jack sh1t about them? Or what if you are having trouble with your existing box and need further assistance to properly configure it? Or maybe even help with the purchase of one? #seedbox channel on IPTorrents IRC network might just be what you are looking for. It’s a free help channel that can aid you with basically anything related to seedboxes.

Damn, IPTorrents sure has a lot of beautiful logos it’s almost distracting. Anyways as we said before the #seedbox channel is run by a few helpful folks over at IPT, a veteran private BitTorrent tracker (IPT sure are expanding their IRC network as promised earlier). One of the great things about this help channel is that you don’t have to be a member of the tracker to join it– it’s open to all. Here is a brief description of the chan, as explained by IPT staff:

We, Staff of IPTorrents IRC, last night opened seedbox channel that is about to focus on seedboxes, shells, their users and their problems regarding their boxes. This channel is open for everyone, anyone who is looking for seedbox, anyone who needs help regarding one, also anyone who professionally offers seedboxes or shells, is invited to join us.

Last time I checked, they weren’t sponsored by any seedbox provider and it was a voluntary effort. It’s only been three days since this channel was officially launched and there’s already a fair amount of activity going on. Expect #seedbox to become even more popular with the backing of IPT’s huge user base and specially because of the unique free service they provide.

Not everyone who downloads movies and TV shows from the internet  play them on the PC itself. Some people watch downloaded movies on standalone DVD players while some others stream them to XBOX 360, etc. However if the AVI file is badly encoded (which is true for some scene/p2p releases), it becomes almost impossible to play them on external media. This is where DivFix++ comes in – it’s a great utility that can repair broken AVI streams. That’s not all, DivFix++ can be used to preview movies which has no index part. In other words, you’ll be able to preview files that are still being downloaded via BitTorrent and other P2P distribution mediums, before the download is completed.

I first read about this application on popular TV torrent tracker TVTorrents.com. TVT.COM crew had this to say about the utility:

Problems with Scene groups XII and BWB encodes - we have a fix!

As many of you may already know, XII and BWB are really sucky release groups. Their rips almost *always* have issues with vids headers. This causes them to not play properly on DVD standalone players (DivX enabled of course), many computer media players, nor will they stream properly to XBox360 (play the first ~2 min of video, then screen goes dark and audio only for the rest).
There are many ways of fixing this, but the easiest I've found is DivFix++, and a new utility written by our very own rlatting.

DivFix++ is indeed a great application. It’s free, lightweight (setup is only ~900kb) and does what it claims to do pretty well. However keep in mind that the tool with work with normal AVI encodes only – 720p/1080p mkv encodes are not supported.

Tracker-Invites has returned after a prolonged downtime much to the joy of its members (actually they returned about three weeks ago – we’re just late at posting this news). Apparently the reason for downtime was an issue with the site’s previous host. They are now hosted by a different company and hopefully the downtime issues would be resolved for good. As you may already know, T-I is a BitTorrent news, discussion and invite forum which has been around since 2008 (The site was formerly known as Invites-System). It is rarely open for public registrations but T-I admins have offered to provide a special sign up link for FILEnetworks readers which will be valid for 24 hours.

Unlike most file sharing forums previously mentioned here on FILEnetworks Blog, (The Pirate Society, TrackeReactor, etc), Tracker-Invites does not focus on any other P2P distribution medium than BitTorrent. So you won’t find discussion threads about UseNet, Kazaa, etc on T-I. However when it comes to BitTorrent sites and private torrent trackers, T-I has it all. BT news, invite giveaways, invite requests, tracker reviews & ratings, tracker recruitment, tutorials, tracker graphics, seedbox discussions are just some of the sections you’ll find on T-I forums. However not all these threads will initially be accessible to new members. For example, you need to be a member of T-I for at least 7 days and have posted a minimum of 20 posts to gain access to the following forum sections:

In other words, access to above threads will be restricted to members of the ‘Slave’ user class (default for new registrations). Rest of the user classes on T-I and requirements for promotion are given below:

It’s another sad day for French P2P users. Popular private torrent site GuiKs has shut down operations of it’s BitTorrent tracker indefinitely. GuiKs was a popular site that tracked a lot of French content (along with some international releases) ranging from movies, TV shows to music. Exact reason for shut down is not clear – however it can be assumed that it had something to do with the tight anti p2p regulations in France. Visitors who open GuiKs homepage are now greeted with the following message (translated from French to English):

The result for us
We close the site for the moment the forum is expected to reopen later, but will most certainly a virgin: if we want to keep the current posts we must keep your user accounts, so your info, do not count. Everything will be deleted. It is therefore likely that GuiKs reopened for a purpose which is entirely legal right to allow you to have some contact with former members, and for us to disseminate what we've put a lot of time coding.

For my part, I'll go back to my real work I've put some time aside to take care of GuiKs, so if you need someone to manage your servers, please.

At the time of it’s shut down, GuiKs was a widely accessed site which had an Alexa ranking of ~50000. Even if it re-opens as a legal service, GuiKs is unlikely to retain this popularity with the BitTorrent tracker being site’s main attraction.

Either way France is rapidly becoming a hell for BitTorrent trackers – it wasn’t long ago when popular French tracker SnowTigers was raided and shut down by the police. However all is not lost of torrenters in France. Several well known French trackers are still up and running and couple of new sites such as BlueTigers (ratio free – signups open) have recently been launched.
