Among the thousands of private torrent trackers that are online, there aren’t many sites dedicated to tracking E-Learning and infotainment content. This particular niche is primarily dominated by a handful torrent sites such as BitMe, Docspedia and BitSpyder. If you are interested in joining a similar site, here’s some great news – TheGeeks.Bz has finally launched. TG.Bz is the latest project by TBZ crew, the awesome folks behind hugely successful private trackers such as The Box, The Vault, The Place, The Empire and The Occult. Although primarily an E-Learning tracker with video tutorials, books and test engines, that’s not all you’ll find on The Geeks. In addition to educational material, it indexes all sorts of infotainment content ranging from History channel documentaries, music tutorials to even magic torrents. Signups are currently open and trust me when I say this – you don’t want to miss out on this tracker.

The Geeks

As it is always the case with any TBZ tracker, the official launch of The Geeks has been a massive success. You won’t see any fancy welcome messages on the homepage except for the text “ End The Lack of Knowledge! - Remember, remember the 8th of September” (8th being the official launch date of TG.BZ). The site looks highly polished and it already tracks over 2000 active, well seeded torrents. Thousands of users have registered on the site during the first day of open signup itself and many more are set to join as the news spreads to BitTorrent forums and blogs. Although only a day old, The Geeks feels like a veteran community buzzing with activity.

Just like other sites in the TBZ family, The Geeks is a specialized tracker. One might call it an E-Learning torrent site but it’s actually much more than that. In addition to educational content, you can find a lot of general infotainment releases such as documentaries, lifestyle related books and even some really rare stuff such as magic torrents. Torrent categories range from computer science, business, engineering to fine arts, do-it-yourself (DIY), music tutorials, Sports and Phys, etc. Note that these are not torrents that are commonly found on other trackers – there are some rare, exclusive, unique releases on The Geeks and it’s these torrents that greatly enhance the value of the site. Anyways it’s very difficult to explain the scope of TG.BZ through a simple blog post such as this – you’ll have to become a member and browse the site yourself to understand what the hype is about. Either way the screenshot below should help get you some idea on the sort of content available:

The Geeks Index

While ‘The Geeks’ may index a lot of rare torrents, it thankfully is not one of those secret sites that aims to hide from the public (or make it insanely hard for new members to get in). TG.Bz is currently open for registration and you can directly sign up for an account without the need for an invite code or having to go through interviews or invite applications.

Site Name: The Geeks (http://thegeeks.bz)

Signup URL: http://thegeeks.bz/signup.php

Open registrations will not continue forever so get in while you can – as we said before, this is a site you should not miss.

Other sites in TBZ Family

With the launch of ‘The Geeks’, there are now 6 private trackers in the The.BZ family. Use the ‘Full Review’ links below to find more information and signup URLs of these sites.

  • The Empire - TV Torrents From Canada, Australia & Other Commonwealth Countries (Signups Open) [Full Review]
  • The Vault – Tracker for money making, SEO, marketing, businesses and business management related content. [Full Review]
  • The Place - Private tracker that specializes in lifestyle content [Full Review]
  • The Occult - Specializes in torrents related to various cults, ways of living, religions, healing, etc (Signups Open) [Full Review]

This is probably old news but since the site is still open, we thought we’d go ahead and post the article. TorrentGui is currently accepting new registrations. This otherwise important piece of news may get shadowed by the ‘almost’ open signups at TorrentLeech (which just finished, by the way) but note that TTG is a different kind of a tracker. It’s a torrent site worth having for anyone who downloads a lot of high definition movies, TV shows, documentaries as well as PC and console games including PlayStation 3 games based on the latest Jailbreak.TTG has Chinese origins but don’t let that fool you – there’s a ton of English content hidden beneath the Chinese interface (for translation tips, see end of article). Signups will only be open till the 9th of September – there isn’t a lot of time left so get in while you can.

TorrentGui

TorrentGui is a pretty large private tracker with over 37000 active members and over 10000 torrents. It’s perhaps best known for its huge games section and high definition movie and TV encodes with thousands of uploads. TTG indexes both scene and non scene releases including exclusive uploads by several of their internal teams including WiKi, NGB, BD.Club, etc. For a detailed review of TTG with screenshots, we recommend you read this article.

TorrentGui Index

The last open signup at TorrentGui took place just about two and a half months ago. In case you didn’t manage to get in back then, registrations have once again been opened in celebration of Teachers’s Day. Signups will be open till 9.00AM on the 9th of September (GMT +8). However, new members will be placed on some sort of a probation period – within the first 15 days since registration, all new users are required to download over 20GB files while conforming to ratio rules on site. Failure to do so will result in account deletion.

How to translate TorrenTGui to English with Google Chrome

  1. Download the latest version of Google Chrome browser from here.
  2. Visit TTG forum homepage through this link: http://torrentgui.com/bbs/index.php.
  3. Once the page is done loading, Google Chrome will automatically display several translation options (the message will be displayed just beneath the address bar – you can’t miss it).
  4. Choose the auto detected settings (should be Chinese Simplified Hans to English) and hit translate. If you get the message  ‘Translation failed due to server error’ keep re-trying.
  5. Once translation of the first page is done, you can configure Google Chrome so that it automatically translates all TTG pages without prompting you. Select the ‘Options’ button (in the translation help popup) and select ‘Always translate Chinese Simplified Hans to English’ from the drop down menu.

How to register for a TorrentGui account

As mentioned in the title of this post, TorrenTGui will be open for signup in the next three days (until the 16th). Registration is fairly straightforward but detailed information is given below should you need it. It’s recommended that you have set up automatic translation before trying the registration process.

  1. Visit TTG forum homepage through this link http://torrentgui.com/bbs/index.php
  2. Open the registration page using http://torrentgui.com/bbs/register.php
  3. Fill out the registration form and hit submit. Login to the site through your credentials.
  4. Complete the registration process by going through the profile information dialogs.
  5. Once registration is complete, click on the ‘PT’ button on top left hand corner of the page. This will redirect you to the private tracker (link is http://torrentgui.com/bbs/ptredirect.php)

Special thanks to Bugatti for the heads up.

Yeah you heard correct. TorrentLeech, probably the world’s most sought after private torrent tracker, is giving away 10000 free invites to external users in celebration of the launch of their newest category, the PlayStation 3 games section. As we mentioned yesterday, TL was one of the first private trackers to start indexing PS3 games based on the newly released jailbreak for Sony’s popular gaming console. The invite giveaway was first announced on the TL homepage and a subsequent confirmation has now been posted on the site’s Twitter feed as well. The special invite code posted by w00t can be used by anyone and will support up to 10000 new free signups. In case you still don’t know, TorrentLeech is a hugely popular private tracker which indexes movies, games, music, TV shows, E-books and all sorts of other scene and non scene content. Those of you who still aren’t members, don’t let this golden opportunity go waste.

TorrentLeech

The announcement was first made on TorrentLeech’s homepage:

Signups are closed at the moment, and available only with an invitation. We celebrate our new PS3 category, and we let 10k people to live the TorrentLeech experience!! Click here, use 38498037 as invite code and join us! It wont last long!! When the 10k sign ups are filled, this message will dissapear.

This was later confirmed on the site’s official Twitter (http://twitter.com/torrentleech), as well:

TL Invite Giveaway

10000 invites is in fact quite a lot and will hopefully be enough for all of you dying for a TL account :). Additionally, this approach should be more straightforward and easier than the previous IRC invite giveaways (through which many of our readers got into TL) and should give you access to the site almost instantly. In case you still aren’t a member of this awesome tracker, here’s a great chance for you to become one of the best torrent communities on the internet.

The launch of a new EBook or a Text Book torrent tracker is always exciting news. Although there are several private trackers that are focused on tracking E-Learning content, there has always been room for more sites with similar content. It looks almost as if the gap left by TextbookTorrents a couple of years back is still left open. Torrent My Books (TMB) is a new site that could probably fill this gap – the site aims to index electronic versions of books and text books all in one place. Unlike most torrent sites we feature on this blog, TMB is not a private tracker. It’s rather a public torrent index which does not operate a BitTorrent tracker - .torrent files are hosted on TMB but it users external trackers (such as OpenBitTorrent or TPB trackers) to facilitate the downloads.

Torrent My Books

Launched on the 1st of Septemeber, TMB is a brand new entrant to the BitTorrent community. The site’s official description of itself (as mentioned in the FAQ page) is “Torrent My Books is a torrent search engine and indexer for all things relating to books. Our goal is to become the number one source for providing users with an endless supply of digital books”.

Although it hasn’t even been a week since the site’s launch, TMB has managed to pile up around 200 torrents, some of these packs and collections. The site appears to index a variety of books ranging from science, business, arts, chemistry, physic, mathematics, programming and even fiction and some comics. A screenshot showing several of the indexed torrents can be seen below:

TMB Index

As mentioned earlier this is a public tracker. The site supports both standard downloads as well as magnet links. Registration is not mandatory to download or upload torrents. Additionally, users are not bound by ratio requirements or hit and run policies (although it’s recommended that you seed back what you download).

For several years since it’s launch, Sony’s Playstation 3 console managed to successfully keep pirates at bay – there were no working modchips or softmods available for the PS3 and illegitimate, pirated or duplicated copies were unplayable on these consoles. However, proving yet again that nothing is uncrackable, a working hack for the PS3 has finally surfaced (although it took a good 4 years since the launch of the console). PSJailBreak (aka PSGroove) is a simple USB Plug and Play solution that installs in seconds without any need to open up the PS3. Once installed, it is able to circumvent the PlayStation 3 ‘s copy protection mechanism to allow playing retail games installed on the console’s hard drive. That’s not all, the emergence of a working jailbreak has breathed life into the PS3 releases scene, which to be honest was as good as dead a couple of weeks ago.

Earlier on, you couldn’t see a lot of PS3 game releases on private torrent trackers – they were not usually found on the largest of general trackers or even on specialized games trackers. Now with the Jailbreak up and about, this seems to be changing. PS3 releases count on BitTorrent sites have suddenly started rising – lots of homebrew games ripped using the USB dongle have started appearing on file sharing networks. TorrentLeech, one of the largest and most popular General/0Day torrent trackers in existence, spent no time in bringing back their PS3 section back from the grave. TL’s PS3 section already indexes 30+ releases almost all of which added since 04/09/2010. Situation is the same on Blackcats Games (BCG), a dedicated games tracker. PS3 category on BCG now contains 60+ releases, more than half of which added after the hack surfaced.

Playstation 3 Releases
Image: Part of the PS3 torrents sections on TL (left) and BCG (right)

In light of these new developments, it would be interesting to see how the warez scene will adapt to the changes. TL has even called for P2P uploaders to come forth with their homebrew games and populate their PS3 section – a move that’s sure to boost the P2P scene. The warez scene on the other hand has has not been that enthusiastic – there has hardly been any scene releases of PS3 games lately. The PS3 section on SCC, a scene only torrent tracker, does not look promising - at least not yet:

SCC PS3 section

Anyways the surface of a jailbreak is no doubt good news for most console owners. IMHO it is also a good kick up the ass for game developers who switched to console games developments, abandoning the PC citing too high piracy rates. This just goes on to show that no platform is forever immune to piracy – if it’s makeable, it’s crackable.

In other news, Blackcats Games (BCG) seems to have opened signups once again after being closed for a couple of weeks. You can read all about it here.

Over the last couple of months, we have featured quite a few BitTorrent invite & news forums on this blog. Some of these sites such as VTN have been successful while some others have now disappeared without a trace. Here’s another new BT forum which we hope will become a success – Su.Per Food is a brand new site that’s just entering the file sharing scene. Although it’s new, it appears to be run by a knowledgeable bunch of folks who crave to do something different. The site already features some rather controversial and uncommon concepts such as unrestricted invites, invite auctions (not for real money :p ), anonymous posting and the ‘miserable members’ feature which is an alternative to banning. The whole site including its name, user classes, credits system, forum categories, etc all revolve around … well… food. Food and BitTorrent is an unlikely combination (or at least it was until Deli.Sh launched) but it does offer a refreshing change from common stuff you see on almost every BitTorrent forum.

Su.Per Food

Thankfully, Su.per Food is not one of those ‘secret’ file sharing forums which tries to be elite from the start. It however is a closed community where entry is only possible by filling out the online invite application (there will be open registrations just for 3 hours since this articles goes live). In general, they are only trying to recruit members who have one or more years of experience in torrenting. Also, keep in mind that Su.Per Food is a new site – it’s probably getting public exposure for the first time through this blog post. Don’t expect to walk into a forum that has a gazillion threads and buzzing with activity of 100k members. Join this site if you are willing to try out something fresh and new, and keep in mind that even the largest of sites start small.

Su.Per Food Index

Anyways, those interested in joining Su.Per Food would want to know what all the hype is about. Here’s a summarized list of site features and highlights you might find interesting on this forum:

Unrestricted Invites - Su.per Food does not have any restrictions as far as invites go, if you have something to give away then you can go ahead and do it (giveaways are usually done in ‘The Buffet’ section). This is the reason for the high level of anonymity and why every member who registers is required to agree to Su.Per Food Privacy Agreement. This however does not mean you can scam invites – invite trading and selling is absolutely prohibited.

Credits -  Credits are basically another way to keep Su.Per food users active, when a member offers a giveaway, they can add a credit amount to the GA, meaning that that if someone is eligible for that GA then it will also cost them the specified amount of credits. It’s not just the giveaways – you gain credits for pretty much everything you do on the site, including when a thread you created is viewed by others.

Weight - Weight is somewhat like a reputation system here at Su.per Food, If someone Serves you or helps you in any way, you can add some weight to them and show your appreciation.

The Offer Auction House - The Offer Auction House (OAH), is an alternative to the standard giveaways usually done in ‘The Buffet’. Members may create "auctions" for invites they have to offer, the person who wins the auction will be the one who bids the highest amount of Credits before the auctions time limit is up.

Anonymity  - When applying/registering here, its is a must that you do not use a nick that you have used anywhere else at all, the same goes for email and avatar, if someone reports your username, avatar or email being used at another forum, tracker or community, and if Su.per Food staff can match it to being you, then not only will you, but your entire invite tree will be put "on a diet" and not be allowed back in here.

Access via Proxy – Since Su.per Food staff take member anonymity seriously, not only is using a way to mask your ip address allowed, it is also encouraged.

Anonymous Posting - Several of the forums here have the option to make your post or thread anonymous, just tick the box that says "Make Post Anonymously" in the top right corner of the new post editor.

Miserable Members - Unless a member really oversteps the rules, they will not immediately be banned. Instead, there is another way to "Punish" those who cause trouble. If you are a trouble maker, a Su.Per Food staff member may cause you to become "Miserable" - while in this state you will suffer the following:

  • Slow response (20 to 60 second delay) on every page.
  • A 50% chance they will get the "server busy" message.
  • A 75% chance that no search facilities will be available.
  • A 25% chance they will get redirected to another preset page.
  • A 25% chance they will simply get a blank page.
  • Post flood limit increased by 10 times.

User Classes – As mentioned earlier, everything on this forum revolves around food. User classes are no exception. A list of user classes at Su.Per Food can be found below (the minimum required weight for promotion to a particular user class is mentioned in brackets):

  • On a Diet - Disabled
  • (30lbs) Skin & Bones - Default Userclass.
  • (50lbs+) Beer Belly - Registered for at least 1 week, posted at least 10 times.
  • (80lbs+) Chubby Bunny - Registered for at least 2 weeks, posted at least 25 times.
  • (120lbs+) Tons Of Fun - Registered for at least 1 month, posted at least 50 times.
  • (180lbs+) Morbidly Obese - Registered for at least 3 months, posted at least 120 times.

The Brainstorm – This is a forum section where members can get help and help others. You can read tutorials and even get staff assistance here.

For any online community to be successful, it will need to have a healthy culture that does not alienate the user base. Su.per Food administrators seem to know this and this is what they had to say about the culture on their site:

  • Everyone is equal within our community, there is no special treatment based on rank, we figure that the application is hard enough that when someone is approved, they earn the right to be here.
  • There are no extra privileges between non-staff user classes at Su.per Food, meaning that someone who just joined can order anything that a 5 year member can
  • We accept donations, but we will never ever ask for them, you wont ever see any "Please donate" threads, or "need your help" threads because our number one priority is community.
  • We have a private twitter account that members may access from their phones or other mobile devices to keep up with community updates.

As mentioned earlier, Su.Per Food is usually partially open to the public via online invite application. However, registrations will be fully open for a few hours since the posting of this article, to provide quick access to any potential new members and FILEnetworks Blog readers.

A couple of weeks ago, we posted an article on the launch of SceneExpress (aka SeX) v1. SeX ended its somewhat lengthy beta period recently and launched the first final version of its tracker and web interface with some new features, bug fixes and enhancements. However, the site was not open to the public back when we posted the news – new users who were interested in joining had no way of getting in since even the invites channel remained closed. Good news is that SceneExpress has now opened registrations for 5 whole days, starting today. This is their second open signup since the launch in April 2010. SeX is a General/0Day torrent tracker running on the shiny new SCTBDEV codebase and indexes movies, music, games, TV shows, Ebooks and other general content. The site is the predecessor to SceneLife (ScL), which shut down several months ago.

SeX Logo

The decision to open signups is really a good move on the part of tracker admins. SeX currently tracks around 28000 torrents – around 8K in the main index and a further 20000 in the ‘Spam’ category which are all free leech. It’s user base currently stands at around 4500 registered members (statistics as at 9/4/2010). There are hundreds of new torrents uploaded daily and to maintain an extend the retention of such a large torrents index, more leechers are definitely needed. The official news post regarding the open signups is quoted below:

To help spread our new SeXiness we are smashing our doors (literally) and going all out with a full 5 days of open signups! For 5 days our doors will be open starting from today (09.04.2010) and ending on Wednesday (09.15.2010) at 24.00 GMT. So, if you know people that have been trying to get in or that have been curious to see what we're about. Remember .RO and .IL are now unbanned so they are now also welcomed.
Open SignUp Link: http://scenexpress.net/opensignup.php
HTTPS Link: https://scenexpress.net/opensignup.php
Additional Note: We are always looking for dedicated pack uploaders, if you feel you can help fill out a uploaders application Here and let us know.
Additional Note 2: Check out the best way to build a ratio in here: Click HERE

And open registrations isn’t the only good news that’s coming from SceneExpress. If you are from Israel or Romania, you’d be glad to know that country bans for both these countries have now been lifted. News signupsare now allowed from .RO and .IL. In addition, SeX has rolled out a new set of updates for the first time since v1 launch.

Since we have officially opened v1 we have been really working on a lot of things. We have put a lot of focus on some backend engines that we hope will give you guys a SeXier experience. Here's what this means for our members:
New Hit and Run system:
This system is designed to be as fair as possible while at the same time enforcing our seeding policy. A full and complete breakdown of how the system works can be found Here. We strongly recommend ALL members take the time to read through it and fully understand how it works!
Promotion System Changes:
We have reviewed our rank promotion system and decided that it needed some changes. We have decided to remove the max ratio caps. In addition to this we have decided add a time in rank feature. This is because we felt it was a bit to easy to progress to the next rank and with the forum post requirement it brought to much spam to the forums. We hope this will encourage better forum posting and a better overall experience here at Sex. We strongly recommend ALL members take the time to read the updated FAQ to get the full breakdown on this!
Seeding Requirement Changes:
We have reviewed our seeding policy also and have decided to make some changes here as well. Our new requirements will make seeding much easier for our members. We hope these requirement changes helps encourage more site activity. These new changes only reflect the minimum requirements but, we encourage everyone to seed as long as they can to help keep torrents alive as long as possible.
Here's how the new seeding system works:
ALL NEW single torrents (0-14 days old) need to be seeded either 1:1 or seeded for 72 hours (3 days)
ALL NEW packs (0-14 days old) need to be seeded either 1:1 or seeded for 120 hours (5 days)
ALL OLDER single torrents (14 days old or older) need to be seeded 1:1 or seeded 36 hours (1 1/2 days)
ALL OLDER packs (14 days old or older) need to be seeded either 1:1 or seeded 72 hours (3 days)
Updated FAQ:
We have also updated our FAQ with new information about the Snatch Policy System, Hit and Run System, Seeding requirements, new Promotion requirements and so on. We advise everyone of you to check it out.

Above new additions are of course introduced on top of v1 features. For a detailed account of SeX v1 including a list of improvements and screenshots, please refer to this article.

As mentioned earlier, signups are currently open. he current user limit is set to 6000 which leaves around 1500 more free slots (unless the limit is raised at a later stage) up for the taking.

If you were looking forward to getting into GFT tracker, the time has come :p GFT has opened its official invites IRC channel for a limited period of time and potential new recruits can now request for a free invite over this IRC chat room. GFT is a highly sought after General/0Day torrent tracker which is perhaps best known for its out of this world pre times. Additionally, it is one of the few successful ratio free private trackers out there, with good torrent retention and fast download speeds. The site has been online for a couple of years but it’s only been accessible to a select few members. GFT hasn’t had an open signup in years and the only way outsiders could  gain entry has been occasional IRC invite giveaways such as this. Most of our long time readers should have got in when GFT opened invites five months ago – in case you still haven’t, here’s another chance!

Geforces Tracker

There isn’t really much to discuss about GFT since it’s simply one of the best 0day torrent sites out there. It indexes releases only seconds later that they are pre’d by scene groups and most of these torrents appear to be seedbox hosted. GFT for the most part is a scene only tracker similar to SCC – it does have a packs section dubbed GFT Gems which includes some non scene releases. As of 2/9/2010, the active torrent count on this tracker stood at 18400.

GFT Gems

As we mentioned earlier, this is a ratio free tracker. That is, its members are not bound by usual private tracker rules that require maintaining a minimum global upload:download ratio. GFT’s rules are pretty simple - Grab what you like and seed for 48 hours! While the rules are pretty relaxed, don’t even think about hit and running (HnR), here. Usually, your account will be disabled after two warnings. GFT does have a bonus system and this recently underwent a massive revamp. New system is still being implemented but for now you can earn bonus points by simply idling on the GFT IRC channel.

Enough about the site – now for more pressing matters. How does one go about asking for a GFT invite on IRC? The information below should help.

Rules & Tips

  • You will most likely be asked to provide profile links from private trackers that you are already a member of. Preferred sites include TL PTP BTN ACID FTN IPT TV SEX BMTV CG PTN BG UG waffles and what (other sites may be allowed – this list was mentioned in a previous IRC channel topic)
  • Have your profile links ready before you make the invite request. Delays will not be tolerated due to high demand and staff will probably move on to the next person if you fail to provide them quickly.
  • Do not spam the IRC channel. Wait for your turn before PM’ing anyone. Follow instructions in the channel topic.
  • Folks from Romania and Egypt are not allowed to request for invites. New registrations from these countries are banned on the tracker.

Details of the official invites IRC channel are as follows:

The invites channel will not be open forever. It will most likely close after a limited period of time so grab an invite when you can. Good Luck!

By popular demand, the FileList.Ro invite giveaway is back for a second round. We will be giving away 100 more free invites to this excellent General/0Day torrent tracker. In the meantime, if you applied for an invite in FL.Ro giveaway no 01, please check your E-mail inbox – all invites have been sent and if your request was among the first 100 valid mails to reach us, you should have received an invitation. For those of you who haven't heard about FileList.Ro, it’s one of the largest General trackers in existence with thousands of movies, music, games, E-books and other general torrents in its database. As we mentioned in the previous post, this is a tracker that can rival the likes of TorrentLeech and Zamunda in terms of both member activity as well as available content. If you missed out on obtaining an invite in the previous giveaway (or if you are a new reader just joining us), here’s another chance to get one for free.
UPDATE: Well above 100 requests received. This giveaway has now concluded – please do not send any more emails.

FileList_thumb2[1]

We have pretty much said everything there is to be said about FileList.Ro in the first giveaway article itself – for a detailed site review along with screenshots, we recommend you read this post. Just to give you a quick understanding on the scope of this tracker, FL.Ro currently tracks over 51000 active torrents and has a user base exceeding 254000. It’s easily one of the largest private torrent communities out there.

Coming back to the invite giveaway, we will again be giving away 100 free invites to our readers. As usual, those who seek invites will have to send us an E-mail with the following format:

  • Subject of the E-mail should be ‘FileList.Ro 02’. We use an automated software to filter the mails so don’t get this wrong.
  • In the body of the mail, please include a link to a profile page on a private tracker of your choice – for example http://www.torrentleech.org/userdetails.php?id=XXXXXX (you can visit the profile page on most trackers by clicking on the username located next to your ratio stats).
  • In the body of the mail, include 2 SpeedTest results from http://www.speedtest.net on NY (New York) and Paris servers.
These should not be more than 2 days old. Please do not send screenshots or images – just send the links which should look similar to http://www.speedtest.net/result/XXXXXXX.png
  • Send your email to invites[dot]filenetworks[at]gmail[dot]com
  • This giveaway is NOT open to Romanian users.

Lots of people seem to be interested in getting to know movie DVD release dates in advance. Usually, this information is easily obtainable from stores that sell DVDs, both online and offline. But how about guessing when a movie will leak online? Although movies don’t have an official ‘leak-to-P2P date’ scheduled by publishers, you can pretty much guess when some movies will appear on file sharing networks if you know their DVD Region 5 (R5) release date. The R5 format was first introduced to reduced DVD movie piracy in areas such as Russia, Indian subcontinent and Africa. These DVDs are usually released ahead of other regions and movie pirates use them as early video sources for their uploads.
