We’ve posted about a lot of E-Learning and E-book torrent trackers in our private trackers section but PDFCHM (aka LearnIT) is a bit different. It’s not a torrent tracker but a site that offers direct download links to popular E-Books ranging from fiction to educational topics. Currently there are over 1000 books online.

At a glance, PDF CHM may look like a book catalogue where you can purchase E-Books. But that’s not exactly what it is. You need to register and login to see the download links. Unlike most of the ebook sites we have posted before, PDFCHM does not point to one click hosting links or torrent links. It stores files in its own server (Or so it seems). In my experiences with the site, download speeds were quite good.

You can browse books by year, by publisher or by popularity. There is also a search option where you can search for a specific book. Remember that to see download links, you need to register and log in. 20 invites are given to every new user.

Nano-Net (NnN) is a private torrent tracker which tracks general content (not a niche tracker). 0Day releases and other torrents including movies, music, TV shows and software can be found on this tracker. Nano-Net has Romanian origins but majority of its content comprise of English scene and P2P releases. It’s a relatively new site but has already managed to index over 1100 torrents.

First thing I noticed about Nano-Net is the layout. Nano-Net is not a gazelle tracker but it does have a sleek and great looking layout complete with cool category icons. It somehow reminded me of the interface on SCL (The Clover). As for the content on NNN, you can find pretty much all new scene and p2p releases here. They have a new packs category under whichsome nice movie packs are already indexed:

Don’t worry about the RoSub/RoSubbed tags much if you are a non Romanian user. These simply mean that Romanian subtitles are included with the release. You can easily replace these with any other subtitle file (another language) or you have the option to remove subtitles altogether.

Nano-Net has most of the ‘value added’ features a private tracker can have; there is a karma bonus points system where you can trade bonus points for upload credit, a requests section where you can request releases and a discussion forum. It looks promising and if you are interested in getting in, the site is currently open for signup.

I started gaming back in 1993 on a computer which had a 40MHz processer and ran MS-DOS. Over 15 years have passed and I still love those old DOS games which I used to play back then. Unfortunately, most modern OS such as Windows Vista does not include native MS DOS support – you’ll get error messages if you try to run DOS games or apps on such operating systems. This is where DOSBox comes in – DOSBox is an MS-DOS emulator which will help you run all your favorite DOS games and applications on Windows Vista, Linux, Mac OS X and a number of other operating systems.

If you are currently using Windows Vista, whenever you try to run a DOS game or an app the following error will be displayed: “This system does not support fullscreen mode. Choose ‘Close’ to terminate the application”. If you ignore it an continue, another error is likely to follow and the program will shut down. With DOSBox around, you will have to face no more of this nuisance.

How to download and configure DOSBox

1. Download DOSBox from the official download page.
2. Once the download is complete, run the installer and install DOSBox.
3. Now you need to move your DOS games and applications to a single directory. For example, create a directory C:\DosGames and move all your DOS games under that directory. (It’s better to place each game in a separate subdirectory Ex- C:\DosGames\Dave\…, C:\DosGames\Prince\…, etc)
   
   Note: Steps 4-9 is based on the assumption that your dos games directory is C:\DosGames. If you used another directory, change the commands accordingly.
   
4. Run DOSBox. Type the following command in DOSBox command prompt:
   mount c C:\DosGames
5. Now you will be able to navigate to C:\DosGames directory using standard DOS commands and run any game placed inside that folder. If you have forgotten DOS commands, read on.
   
6. Type C:\ and press enter in the DOSBox console.
7. Type DIR and press enter. A list of subdirectories in the DosGames folder will be displayed.
8. You can browse to any subdirectory in the DosGames folder using the cd command. Ex- to browse to Dave directory simply type:
   cd Dave and press enter.
9. Once you are in the game directory, type the game executable and press enter to play. This executable can be found using the DIR command.

Some good news for those who love Indian (Bollywood) movies. ExDesi or ExtremeDesi is a private torrent tracker and a forum which has lots of Hindi movie torrents. It however is not a dedicated movies tracker - you can find Indian/Pakistani music, TV shows, documentaries, stage shows (live performances) and even sports torrents on ExDesi. At the time this post is being written, this tracker has a user base in excess of 48000 active members and tracks close to 2700 torrents.

If you are looking for English movies, you won’t find them on ExDesi (for English movie trackers, look here ). Although I did manage to find some new English movies on this tracker, they were all dubbed in Hindi. Hindi movies on ExDesi however do come complete with English subtitles (most of the time). Releases by Indian P2P groups such as BrG, DUS, xDR and DDR can be found on this tracker. Apart from torrents, ExDesi has an online streaming links section and a direct download links/one click hosting links section in its forums.

ExDesi is usually closed for signups but as of this moment it has opened registrations for a short while. A note on the site reads:

After TorrentVault (posted yesterday), here is another large General/0Day tracker with open signups. iLoveTorrents is a popular private torrent tracker which tracks movies, music, games and other general content. iLT has been online for more than 3 years and it’s grown onto become one of the larger private trackers currently around. As of today , iLT tracks over 4500 active torrents (100k+ torrents total) and has a huge user base of 65000+ registered members.

Like most general/0Day trackers out there, iLT tracks both scene and p2p releases. Download speeds are generally good and pre times seem to be decent. In addition to individual releases, iLT has some great collections such as several HD movie packs, comics packs and games packs. They also have some unique music releases.

Like some trackers such as RevolutionTT, Bitsoup and TorrentLeech, iLoveTorrents has ‘wait times’ enabled; users with a low download:upload ratio and a low upload amount usually have to wait several hours till they can download latest torrents. On iLT, the wait time is calculated according to the formula below:

Ratio below 0.50 and/or upload below 5GB - delay of 24h

Ratio below 0.65 and/or upload below 5GB - delay of 12h

Ratio below 0.80 and/or upload below 5GB - delay of 6h

A DVDRip of the 2008 comedy flick ‘Disaster Movie’ has leaked on the internet. 5MeOAMT, a group in the warez scene is behind the leak. According to 5MeOAMT’s NFO, leaked version is the Unrated edition of Disaster Movie. The release comes as a standard (700MB) rip and seems to be of great quality. As for the movie, it has a poor IMDB rating of 1.3 and there are many negative reviews floating around.

In Disaster Movie, the filmmaking team behind the hits “Scary Movie,” “Date Movie,” “Epic Movie” and “Meet The Spartans” this time puts its unique, inimitable stamp on one of the biggest and most bloated movie genres of all time — the disaster film. Disaster Movie follows the comic misadventures of a group of ridiculously attractive twenty-somethings during one fateful night as they try to make their way to safety while every known natural disaster and catastrophic event — asteroids, twisters, earthquakes, the works — hits the city and their path as they try to solve a series of mysteries to end the rampant destruction.

About a week ago, we posted an article on how to get invited to Torrent-Vault tracker for free. Unfortunately their IRC channel quickly became invite only and just a few readers managed to obtain a free invitation code. If you could not make it inside back then, here is some good news – Torrent Vault is now open for signup and you can create an account without the need for an invite code.

Torrent Vault is an excellent private torrent tracker with lots of movies, music, games, E-books, TV shows and other general content. Download speeds and pre times on this tracker are pretty good. Currently, Torrent-Vault tracks over 4500 torrents. Total number of registered members on this tracker is unknown. The recent shut down of SceneFeed seems to have further strengthened the user base and torrent index at Torrent Vault (SceneFeed was shut down to pool more resources to TorrentVault).

This tracker indexes both scene and P2P releases. One thing I have noticed with TorrentVault is that they have a lot of unique torrents such as X264 encoded TV episodes and even some complete TV season packs. These can be identified using the ‘TorrentVault’ tag on the torrent title.

 

At the time this post is being written, the every single torrent on the site is on free leech. That is, only the amount you upload is counted in your stats. Signups are also open and you get 5GB free upload credit upon signup. Check it out – Torrent Vault is a great private tracker to have.
