If you’ve been reading FILEnetworks Blog recently, you might remember that we posted about leaked Clone DVDs (Full DVD Images) of games such as Dead Space, NFS : Undercover, Fallout 3 and Red Alert 3. In some CloneDVD releases, it’s actually possible to play the game using a CloneDVD by mounting the image and emulating the copy protection built into the game (This eliminated the need for a crack). Alcohol120% is one such app which can emulate several popular copy protection mechanisms and combined with tools such as Y.A.S.U, it’s one of the software available for mounting Clones and backup images (Similar to Daemon Tools Pro). However, mounting clones is not all Alcohol 120% can do. It can also create disc images and burn created images to physical disks as well. It was only a day ago we posted about JamToThis, a lossless music and music video tracker. Zomb Torrents is another private torrent tracker which tracks a lot of lossless music and DVD videos of live music, concerts and the likes. It actually has a lot more content and members than JamToThis and has been online for a long time as well. About 3 months ago, we featured Kaspersky Anti-Virus v8.0.0.454 and Kaspersky Internet Security v8.0.0.454 on FILEnetworks Blog. Just recently Kaspersky have released a new build (8.0.0.506) of the security suite with several enhancements to detection technology and a number of other bugfixes. As always, upgrading to the latest version is recommended. I’ve been using this app for the last 3 months (after parting ways with ESET’s NOD32) and so far it hasn’t let me down. Kaspersky has killed every single piece of malware that has come my way. If you have noticed, some security products such as AVG have a lot of false positives specially when it comes to clean key generators and cracks. I’ve experienced a lot less number of false positives with Kaspersky.

Anyway if you have noticed, the title of this post says KIS 2009 v8.0.0.506 + Goodies. In addition to the KIS 2009 installer, it has some nice tools such as KeyViewer, KeyFinder and also a list of sites where you can find keys for Kaspersky products. Latest version of the popular iPhone jailbreak utility, QuickPWN 2.2 has been released. QuickPWN 2.2 can be used to jailbreak the firmware on iPhone, iPhone 3G and the first generation iPod touch devices (that is, firmware version 2.2). There are many tools out there which can be used to jailbreak the iPhone or iPod touch and QuickPWN is one of the most popular mainly due to it’s user friendly interface. PS2-P is a private torrent tracker that specializes in Playstation 2 (PS2) console games. It’s a fairly new tracker but it already has one of the best PS2 torrents collections in the BitTorrent scene. PS2-P does tracks individual (and newer) games but the site’s main attraction is without a doubt the FULLSETS. FULLSETS are huge packs (usually over 100GB) containing a gazillion games in each one of them. Although the main focus is on PS2 games, that’s not all PS2-P tracks. There are several FULLSETS of PSP (Playstation Portable) games available as well. Valve’s highly anticipated zombie shooter Left 4 Dead was susceptible for leaks and hacks since the very beginning perhaps due to the immense media hype the game received. Initially fans found a hack to get into the exclusive early access demo without pre ordering the game and then the actual demo itself leaked to BitTorrent. Now, about 5 days after the game’s official release, a full copy has been leaked to BitTorrent trackers, FTP sites and one click hosting sites around the world. The release comes from SKIDROW, a group from the warez scene who usually release lesser known PC titles. Actually, there have been several leaked versions of the full version of Left 4 Dead floating around in P2P networks for a few days but this is the first release by a scene group.

If you are a pirate and thinking of downloading a torrent of the full version of Left 4 Dead, there is something you should know. Even though you are able to play the single player campaign, you will not be able to play the multiplayer or coop without a valid steam account (online play is usually impossible in modern games if you do not own a legitimate copy). SKIDROW’s NFO does not speak of a crack and in fact Steam protection is very hard to be cracked. Even to play Left 4 Dead over LAN, players need to join through Steam. However, given the game’s popularity, it is likely that there will be many private servers or cracked servers for Left 4 Dead like there is now for Counterstrike and CS: Source. Already, several workarounds including console hacks and no steam servers for Left 4 Dead have surfaced that allow pirates to play the game on LAN but there is no guarantee that Valve will patch these up.

If you frequently visit gaming forums or video sharing sites such as YouTube, you may have come across videos containing actual gameplay footage. As you may already know, most games do not come with options that enable users capture in game video footage and create gameplay movies. Then how do people make these videos? Actually, it’s not that hard at all – just use FRAPS.

FRAPS is a nice piece of software that enables users capture real time video rendered using OpenGL and Direct3D. Simply run FRAPS while playing your favorite game and set it to record. Here is an update on two of the most popular BitTorrent clients currently around.

First up, a new build of Vuze (formerly Azureus) has been released. Build 4.0.0.4 has quite a lengthy changelog This includes a number of bugfixes, several changes and notable new features such as the support for magnet links in search results, subscription support to customizations and ability to change List modes in View menu (full changelog here). As always, upgrading to the latest version is recommended but if you use a lot of private torrent trackers we recommend you first check if version 4.0.0.4 is an allowed client version in your favorite tracker. Some private trackers do not immediately add the latest version to their’ allowed clients list’ as they tend to test out the new version beforehand (For example 4.0.0.4 is not currently allowed in Blackcats-Games or BitmeTV) .

AOM Killer (AOMK), a private torrent tracker dedicated to magic related content, has returned after several days of downtime. As reported in our previous post, the site is now hosted on a new domain (www.aomk1.com). AOMK has occasionally been up and down in the past two months and according to a forum post by administrator the reason for last downtime was the site getting hacked (there have been plenty of controversies surrounding this tracker since their birth). AOMK seems to have lost the entire user base and torrents during the downtime. The good news is that the site is currently open for signup and every old member (and new members of course) can re-register:
