An R5 rip of the highly popular movie 'The Bank Job' has been leaked to bittorrent few hours ago. The first group to release the movie was iAPULA which is a non scene P2P group. Then the scene group TRD stole the P2P release and re released as their own (Which was nuked). Finally group BaLD has released a 1CD (700MB) rip from their own source. The quality is excellent as usual.

The Bank Job is a 2008 crime film based on a 1971 true-life robbery of a bank in Baker Street, London, from which the money and valuables stolen were never recovered. The story was prevented from being told because of a D-Notice government gagging order, allegedly to protect a prominent member of the British Royal Family. According to the producers, this movie is intended to reveal the truth for the first time, although it includes significant elements of fiction and the extent to which it represents historical fact is difficult to determine.

L0phtCrack is a password auditing and recovery application (now called LC5), originally produced by Mudge from L0pht Heavy Industries. It is used to test password strength and sometimes to recover lost Microsoft Windows passwords, by using dictionary, brute-force, and hybrid attacks. It was one of the crackers' tools of choice, although most use old versions because of its price and low availability.

The application was produced by @stake after the L0pht merged with @stake in 2000. @stake was acquired by Symantec in 2004. Symantec has since stopped selling this tool to new customers citing US Government export regulations, and has announced that they will discontinue support by the end of 2006. The product, however is still available for download via 'you-know-what' :p

Google Talk : Labs Edition is another variant of Google's Instant Messenger family. It's features are similar to those you get on the chat widget in Gmail interface. Only difference is that Labs Edition is a downloadable offline application similar to that of normal Google Talk program.

Although some features are added, you may notice that two critical features are removed. But that should not be a problem since you can have both Google Talks and Google Talk:Labs Edition installed simultaneously in your computer.

Here is some good news for the unfortunate souls who've got P2P traffic filtered by ISP or blocked by a firewall (usually the case with schools, workplaces etc). The new service from ImageShack might just save your asses.

The main idea behind the new service is that ImageShack will download the torrent to their own server and provide you with a link to the stored file. You can then use this link to download the content tracked by the torrent file as a direct HTTP download.

Some quick facts about the service:

• There is no need for you to have a BT client running or to seed back.
• IF your network enables downloading files via HTTP, this service should work without having to make additional configuration changes.
• You can use download managers on the direct link.
• Monthly download limit is capped at 15GB per user.
• ImageShack server storage capacity is capped at 15GB at any given time.
• You have to point the direct link to the .torrent file.

How it is done

Step 1: Login/signup to imageshack

Step 2: Visit the service homepage.

Step 3: Select the .torrent file you wish to download.

You can either give the path to .torrent file in your hard disk or directly link to the .torrent file located in BT site.

Step 4: Start the download

Step 5: Once download is complete, use the direct link to directly download content to your hard drive via HTTP.

The service is currently in beta. And you may not get enough storage capacity immediately after you join as they are still in the process of allocating storage space for users. But it sure looks promising.
