Several months ago, there was a time when CCFBits was always open to the public. This however is no longer the case – the site has long since gone invite only and its doors remain shut for the most part. If you still haven’t become a member of this tracker, good news is that today is the open registration day at CCFBits. In case you were wondering, CCFBits is a huge private BitTorrent tracker indexing thousands of high definition (HD) releases. It’s a torrent site in  the same league as HDChina, CHDBits, etc and is without a doubt one of the most famous trackers based in China. Good download speeds, internal encoder groups, tons of torrents including movies, TV shows, documentaries and lossless music, decent leecher activity on indexed torrents – CCFBits pretty much has all the qualities you’d look for in a good HD tracker.

Open registration day at CCFBits was announced sometime back but so far it has gone unnoticed in most BitTorrent news and invite forums. The site’s current maximum user limit is set to 20000 and at time of this post there were 19100 registered members, leaving  around 900 free slots. Note that this user base is pretty strong for a  specialized tracker – there aren’t many private HD sites around with 20k members. The indexed torrent count is equally high - with over 17500 active torrents (last time we reviewed this site back in July 2009, it only had 700) being tracked by CCFBits’s private tracker, it’s a site that can rival the likes of HDChina and TorrentGui in terms of content.

Speaking of content, this site tracks Chinese/English movies, documentaries and TV shows - bulk of the releases are English, released by renowned scene/p2p groups such as ESiR, CtrlHD, EuReKA and CTU. In addition, they do have their own internal encoder groups such as Pa@Ph, OurSky, YYets, XTM, StTVG and YDY. It’s worth mentioning that CCFBits is home to some huge HD torrent packs – for example there is a movie pack that exceeds 500GB in size. Download speeds on CCFBits is generally very good and there are a lot of freeleech torrents around making it easy to maintain a good ratio.

CCFbits

While it has excellent content, CCFBits does not have the best interface around. Primary interface language is Chinese (with English labels for main functions) and every torrent has it’s name spelt both in Chinese and English. Note that presence of a Chinese name does not mean the torrent is actually Chinese – most of the time it’s English. Chinese characters makes the layout somewhat cluttered (at least for those us who don’t know jack whack about Chinese) but its a negligible issue. If you want you can translate the site into English with the help of Google Chrome browser.

How to translate CCFBits to English with Google Chrome

  1. Download the latest version of Google Chrome browser from here.
  2. Visit CCFBits signup page through this link: http://ccfbits.org/signup.php.
  3. Once the page is done loading, Google Chrome will automatically display several translation options (the message will be displayed just beneath the address bar – you can’t miss it).
  4. Choose the auto detected settings (should be Chinese Simplified Hans to English) and hit translate. If you get the message  ‘Translation failed due to server error’ keep re-trying.
  5. Once translation of the first page is done, you can configure Google Chrome so that it automatically translates all TTG pages without prompting you. Select the ‘Options’ button (in the translation help popup) and select ‘Always translate Chinese Simplified Hans to English’ from the drop down menu.

As said earlier signups will be open for a limited time only – it can either remain open throughout the day or it might close before that if the site hits its max capacity. Get in while you can – this is a decent HD tracker.

There has been some good news on the HD Trackers front in the past few days. Earlier today HD-Bits.Ro opened signups (now closed) and now we feature another specialized HD torrent tracker that is open for public registrations. HDChina is a BitTorrent tracker of Chinese origin which has a lot of English, Chinese, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, Japanese and Korean HD content including movies, TV shows, documentaries and music videos. HDChina is an underrated HD tracker- people seem to get turned off by the Chinese interface but there is actually a lot of English releases available on this site.

HDChina logo

Something that most people don’t know is that there is an option to change the language at HDChina. hdchina language Once logged in, just click on the English flag icon on the top left corner of the page to set interface language to English (there are 3 more language options – Chinese, Japanese and Korean). Also note that this site labels almost all torrents including English only releases using both Chinese and English wording. Just because a torrent has a Chinese name does not mean it’s a Chinese localized release.

Language woes aside, HDChine is in fact a decent HD tracker. It has a 25000+ strong user base and tracks over 10500 torrents. Torrents found here includes US, UK TV shows/movies as well as Asian content (see categories below for more). Asian releases can usually be identified by the following tags on torrent title: CN – Chinese, HK – Honk Kong, TW – Taiwanese, JP – Japanese, KR – Korean. Both scene and non scene p2p releases can be found on this tracker.

There are some great packs online on HDChina. Some of these are pretty huge. Largest I found was a massive 436GB pack which included 68 Blu-Ray movies released by group ESiR. Some packs however seem to be taken (stolen?) from other torrent sites such as TheBox and HD-Bits.Ro.

HDChina Torrents
Image: Although there is Chinese wording on every torrent, all releases featured in this screenshot are actually English

Signups for HDChina are usually closed and when they do open it’s usually for a short period of time. This time however signups will stay open till the 29th of April:

Free signups will be open from 2009-04-24 12:00pm to 2009-04-29 12:00pm (Beijing time). Please inform your friends about this. Duplicated accounts will be banned! So, please tell your friends to register for just one account.

If you are looking for a place to download HD content at good speeds, this site is worth checking out – get in while you can.

With all the censorship cr@p going on, one might assume that China doesn’t have any BitTorrent trackers at all. This is not true – they have several and today’s article is about one of them. CCFBits is the second Chinese BitTorrent tracker to be featured in FILEnetworks Blog (first one being HDChina). It’s a private torrent tracker specializing in HD movies, TV shows and documentaries. What’s great about this site is that even though it’s based in China, there are plenty of English releases uploaded to the tracker.

With 25000+ users and over 700 active torrents, CCFBits is a pretty large private tracker. Download speeds are generally very good and there are a lot of freeleech torrents around. That being said, CCFBits does not have the best interface around. Primary interface language is Chinese (with English labels for main functions) and the presence of Chinese characters makes the layout somewhat cluttered (at least for those who don’t know jack whack about Chinese). However if it’s the releases you are looking for, CCFBits is a great site to have.

It tracks both Chinese and English content - bulk of the releases are English, released by scene/p2p groups such as ESiR, CtrlHD, EuReKA, CTU, etc (there is in fact an option to search by group name). In addition, CCFBits is home to some huge HD torrent packs – for example there is a movie pack that exceeds 500GB in size.

CCFBits packs
Presence of Chinese characters in torrent name does not mean it’s dubbed in Chinese. All releases shown in the above screenshot have English audio.

CCFBits is currently open for signup. However we don’t know when the doors will be shut – it could be within a few hours or within a few minutes. This is a tracker that frequently opens/closes registration so keep trying if you couldn’t get in the first time.

We’ve on numerous occasions discussed HD torrent trackers that have their roots in China. Out of all the Chinese trackers featured on this blog, HDChina is probably the largest both it terms of content as well as user base. It’s a specialized High Definition torrent site that tracks a lot of English movies and TV series. Releases indexed here being untouched Blu Ray or x264 encoded rips, video quality of torrents tracked by HDChina are usually very good. HD is a private community and is usually invite-only. However, it does occasionally open signups to the public and the good news is that one such open registrations session is currently ongoing. Their server seems to be getting hammered by a lot of new users trying to sign up all at once but if you keep trying, you will eventually be able to get in.

HDChina

Although not very popular in the western world, HDChina is a huge private tracker and is one of the largest HD trackers ever. As of 28/10/2010 there are close to 25000 registered members on HDC and it has a huge torrent index consisting of 18000+ torrents. The reason for it’s relative lack of popularity in English speaking countries might be the whole ‘Chinese connection’. After having a glance at the signup page filled with Chinese characters, many people seem to turn away, assuming this to be a BitTorrent tracker with releases local to China. This however is far from the truth. Majority of the content on HDC are English with international releases such as Hollywood blockbusters being indexed. Even the site interface can easily be switched to English if required - Once logged in, just click on the English flag icon on the top left corner of the page to change the language. Also note that this site labels almost all torrents including English only releases using both Chinese and English wording. So just know that a torrent having a Chinese label doesn’t mean it’s a Chinese release.

As for the content, HDC is movie/TV tracker. A list of categories and video formats found on this tracker are summarized below:

  • Movie: Blu-ray, 1080i, 1080p, 720p
  • TV Episode: TV EP (CN/HK/TW), TV EP (JP/KR), TV EP (US/UK)
  • TV PACK: TV Pack China (HK/TW), TV Pack JP/KR, TV Pack US/UK
  • Others: Sports, Animation, Documentary, Music Video
  • Audio: Lossless, Audio Track

Individual releases (which include 0day uploads) are accompanied by large torrent packs. These are pretty huge, with some packs exceeding 400GB in file size. A screenshot capturing part of the torrent index may be found below:

HDChina Releases

Torrents indexed on HDC have very good health thanks to the large seeder base. Some of the most popular torrents have over 500 seeds each and download speeds are generally very good. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the HDC’s web page navigation. Navigation becomes a pain in the ass when the server is busy (when there are a lot of people online, when there is an open signup ongoing, etc). When this happens, you need to hit refresh several times just to get to the torrent browse page from the HDC homepage (which is pretty annoying).

Overall this is a pretty decent HD tracker. For those who want to get in,HDC is currently having open signups as well as sitewide free leech. These won’t last last forever so get in while you can. Be warned that if your account has 0kb upload/download after 7 days since registration, it will automatically be deleted.

Site Name: HDChina (http://hdchina.org/login.php)

Signup URL: http://hdchina.org/signup.php

Note: If you encounter ‘page cannot be displayed’, ‘page currently not available’ errors or other similar error messages, keep trying. These are caused by server issues and not because the signups are closed. If you get any of the error messages after hitting signup, you’ll have to re-fill the signup form and resubmit. Refreshing the error message might not work and give you a ‘you did not agree to the rules’ error.

P.S. – You might have to use Google Translate or AIRTranslate Desktop App to decipher error messages in Chinese.

We know for a fact that a lot of you were looking forward to join CHDBits. Without a doubt, this is one of the most sought after private trackers based in China (yeah, China does host private torrent sites – HDChina, HDStar, CCFBits to name a few). As the title says, CHDBits is a specialized HD tracker with movies, TV shows, documentaries and even anime content. Non Chinese users – there is no need to worry. There is a lot of English content here. Compared to the likes of CCFBits and HDStar, CHDBits is considered harder to get into – they don't often have open signups. However the good news is that public registrations at CHDBits will open on the 10th of September and will remain open throughout the day.

CHDbits

With over 10000 active members and over 7500 active torrents, CHDBits is a well established tracker in the BitTorrent scene. If this was not referred to as a ‘Chinese tracker’, I’m sure CHDBits’s popularity would have been a lot higher. Most English speaking users tend to turn away from a tracker the moment they see a Chinese character on the signup page. This is clearly a mistake – in almost all China based trackers, there is an option to change site language to English. And when you actually sign up and log in, you’ll see that these trackers are full of English content. This applies to CHDBits as well.

CHDBits seem to have good scene connections judging by the amount of scene releases available on site. In addition, there is a good number of p2p (non scene) encodes online. For example there are some untouched Blu-Ray releases by group CHD, which looks a lot like an internal release group exclusive to this tracker. Some of the torrent categories, codecs and video standards used in indexed content can be seen in the screenshot below:

CHDBits categories

Every torrent name has its title spelt out in Chinese (in addition to English) – note that this does not mean the movie is dubbed in Chinese.

Like most other private trackers CHDBits has a bonus system. You can exchange bonus points (usually gained by seeding) for upload credit, custom titles and even invites (10000 bonus points will get you 1 invite). CHDBIts might not look spectacular but it’s design is not bad at all. If you don’t like the default theme, there are several other styles to choose from and even category icons can be changed.

As we mentioned earlier, sign ups for this tracker will open on the 10th of September. A notice posted on site reads:

CHDbits will open sign-up system on Sep.10th,2009(CST China Standard Time UT+8:00 ). Invite exchange-system and invite-system will be closed during that day.

Note: Non Chinese users –  first thing you should do is to change the site language to English. This can be done from the menu in top right corner of signup page or via your profile page (once logged in).

Good news for HD fans and a welcome addition to our HD trackers section – HDStar (HDS) is open for signup. For those who don’t know what this site is all about, HDStar is a Chinese private torrent tracker specializing in movies, documentaries and TV series encoded in high definition formats. It’s right up there in the list of top HD trackers based in China along with CCFBits, CHDBits and HDChina. With a lot of English content indexed, HDS is one of the Chinese trackers that is friendly to international, English speaking users. Both scene and non scene releases are indexed on this site, including releases from their own internal encoder team.

HDStar logo

With over 9400 users and over 6500 torrents, HDStar is by no means a small tracker. It’s a mature private tracker with an active user base and excellent download speeds on most of the torrents. When compared to other China based trackers such as HDChina and CCFBits, HDStar has a much cleaner interface which is more user friendly to international users. Site language is changeable and thankfully there is an English option available as well.

As mentioned above HDStar trackers movies, TV shows and documentaries in HD formats (obtained from Blu-ray, HD DVD, MiniBD, HDTV, DVDR sources and encoded using H.264, VC-1, Xvid, MPEG-2, DTS, AC-3 audio/video codecs). In addition to scene and p2p releases, HDStar has quite a few exclusive torrents released by their own internal encoder team ‘HDS’. Given below is an screenshot of part of this site’s torrent index:

HDStar releases

As you can see the torrent index has color coded torrents – a different background color means the torrent is either free leech, 2x up, 2x up and free, 50% download recorded, 2x up + 50% download recorded, etc. Information on which colors mean which benefits can be found at the bottom of Browse.php page.

Also note that most torrents have Chinese characters in their name. We’ll give you the same advice we gave when we posted the review for CCFBits – don’t be fooled by this. Just because a torrent has Chinese characters doesn’t mean it’s dubbed in Chinese. In fact most of the releases on HDS have English audio – sometimes you’ll be able to know this for sure as ‘Spoken language’ is mentioned in the torrent description page of most releases.

For those interested in joining, HDStar is currently open for signup. We do not know till when the signups will remain open so get in when you can.

We are one whole day late in publishing this news but if everything goes according to plan HDChina’s open signups will continue until midnight on 3rd of October 2011 and everyone will have plenty of time to create an account on this awesome HD tracker. First things first – as the name suggest, HDChina is a private tracker that has Chinese origins. But that doesn’t mean it would be useless for those who seek to download English content. HDC in fact tracks a lot of English releases (including scene, non scene and tracker exclusive uploads by affiliated groups) in addition to local content. It is a massive HD tracker that every serious fan of HD content should definitely be a part of. Last time this tracker opened signups was back in February 2010 – which is more than a year ago. This time around they have a limited open signup to celebrate National Day in China.

HDChina

Although not very popular in the western world, HDChina is a huge private tracker and is one of the largest HD trackers ever. At the time this post was being written there were over 46500 registered members on HDC and it also had a mammoth sized torrent index with over 33000 HD torrents. Majority of the content indexed on HDC are in English language including international releases such as Hollywood blockbusters and HDTV shows aired in the US and UK.

As far as the content goes, HDC is movie/TV tracker.

Additionally, this tracker has no shortage of exclusive uploads thanks to the shitload of affiliated P2P groups that release on it such as HDChina, HDCTV, LU9998, iHD, CtrlHD, beAst & HDS, KiSHD and Pa@Ph. A screenshot capturing part of the torrent index may be found below:

HDChina Index

While creating an account on HDC will be easy thanks to the open signups, keeping it from getting disabled would be a harder task. HDC is serious about user activity and all new users are automatically checked by the system after a specific period of time and immediately disabled if minimum upload/download and bonus points requirements are not met. Quoted below is the official announcement:

1. HDChina Will Open for register to celebrate the National Day.
To celebrate our 62nd National Day, HDChina will open for register from 0:00 1st Oct 2011 - 24:00 3rd Oct 2011 and all torrents will be freeleech in this 3 days. We always do our best to provide more HD resources and hope you can experience of a better High-Definition life here.

2. New Check-up system for Newbies
From now on, all newbies must take part in our new check-up system (including open-registration and invitation) to improve the quality of our members.
1.If failed to meet the following requirements, new users would be banned after 30 days from the date of registration, regardless of signing up though invites or open registrations. Further, a new account created by open registration with no upload or download behavior in the first 3 Days will be banned, while 7 Days for Registration through invitation.
2.You MUST 30G Achieve the minimum for both uploading and Downloading Amount as well as gaining "seeding" no less than 4 000 Bonus Points in 30 Days from the Date of registration. These conditions shall be met simultaneously or you account will be banned.
Note: Donors, VIPs, uploaders, encoders, or users with higher rank are excluded from the above check-up system.

-HDChina Staff-

If the above was TLDR, here’s the summary of requirements that a new users needs to fulfill in order to keep his HDC account:

  1. A new account created by open registration with no upload or download behavior in the first 3 Days will be banned
  2. After 30 days from date of registration, you account should have a minimum of 30GB uploaded, 30GB downloaded and 4000 bonus points.

Signups will be open till the 3rd of October or till HDC hits its maximum user limit of 50000 members (3000 more spots remaining at time of this posting). Keep in mind that confirmation E-mail is in Chinese and will most likely land in your spam/bulk mail folder (tested with Gmail).

After having used almost every Microsoft Operating System since MS-DOS, I’ve to say that Windows 7 is the best Microsoft OS to be released since Windows 98 Second Edition. W7 addressed many flaws that were present in its predecessor Windows Vista and according to Microsoft it was a phenomenal success in terms of sales as well. Anyways here’s some news that might interest you if you are one of the millions running Windows 7 on your PC or Laptop - A Release To Manufacturing (RTM) build of the first Service Pack (SP1) for Windows 7 has reportedly been leaked online. The files, which were initially posted by Russian release site WZOR, are now out in the wild and readily available on various file sharing networks including public BitTorrent sites and private torrent trackers.

Quoted below is the NFO file from one such torrent (this appeared to be a repacked version of files originally posted on WZOR):

Thanks goes to: Misaki for providing the SP1 files, to Zukona for making this leak possible, and to OVH for helping with the upload!

Microsoft it yet to confirm that the leaked build is indeed RTM. However, WZOR, the Russian site from which the leak originated from, has been around for many years and it’s got a reputation for posting reliable information about leaked MS software in the past.

Now, we wouldn’t post a direct download link to this RTM since we’re not sure if that would be illegal or not (after all, this is still unreleased software). However, anyone wanting to download this release on a file sharing network should have enough information to do so in the above NFO itself :) If you are feeling adventurous, go ahead and check it out. If you want to download Service Pack 1 through official channels, it should hit the Microsoft Download Center in the coming weeks (or months, I’m not sure about the exact release date yet).

This is probably old news but since the site is still open, we thought we’d go ahead and post the article. TorrentGui is currently accepting new registrations. This otherwise important piece of news may get shadowed by the ‘almost’ open signups at TorrentLeech (which just finished, by the way) but note that TTG is a different kind of a tracker. It’s a torrent site worth having for anyone who downloads a lot of high definition movies, TV shows, documentaries as well as PC and console games including PlayStation 3 games based on the latest Jailbreak.TTG has Chinese origins but don’t let that fool you – there’s a ton of English content hidden beneath the Chinese interface (for translation tips, see end of article). Signups will only be open till the 9th of September – there isn’t a lot of time left so get in while you can.

TorrentGui

TorrentGui is a pretty large private tracker with over 37000 active members and over 10000 torrents. It’s perhaps best known for its huge games section and high definition movie and TV encodes with thousands of uploads. TTG indexes both scene and non scene releases including exclusive uploads by several of their internal teams including WiKi, NGB, BD.Club, etc. For a detailed review of TTG with screenshots, we recommend you read this article.

TorrentGui Index

The last open signup at TorrentGui took place just about two and a half months ago. In case you didn’t manage to get in back then, registrations have once again been opened in celebration of Teachers’s Day. Signups will be open till 9.00AM on the 9th of September (GMT +8). However, new members will be placed on some sort of a probation period – within the first 15 days since registration, all new users are required to download over 20GB files while conforming to ratio rules on site. Failure to do so will result in account deletion.

How to translate TorrenTGui to English with Google Chrome

  1. Download the latest version of Google Chrome browser from here.
  2. Visit TTG forum homepage through this link: http://torrentgui.com/bbs/index.php.

How to register for a TorrentGui account

As mentioned in the title of this post, TorrenTGui will be open for signup in the next three days (until the 16th). Registration is fairly straightforward but detailed information is given below should you need it. It’s recommended that you have set up automatic translation before trying the registration process.

  1. Visit TTG forum homepage through this link http://torrentgui.com/bbs/index.php
  2. Open the registration page using http://torrentgui.com/bbs/register.php
  3. Fill out the registration form and hit submit. Login to the site through your credentials.
  4. Complete the registration process by going through the profile information dialogs.
  5. Once registration is complete, click on the ‘PT’ button on top left hand corner of the page. This will redirect you to the private tracker (link is http://torrentgui.com/bbs/ptredirect.php)

How many HD torrent trackers does China have? I don’t think anyone knows the correct answer. However, we seem to run into a new Chinese private tracker for HD content every other day. What’s cool about these sites is that they aren’t just stubs with a few members and a handful torrents. These are fully fledged torrent trackers with strong user bases and content rich torrent indexes. For example ChinaHDTV, the site we are featuring today, has nearly 15k members even though it’s not a site you hear about every day. ChinaHDTV is a private torrent tracker for high definition content. It tracks movies, TV shows, music videos and documentaries, majority English releases. In addition to the usual uploads found on most HD trackers, ChinaHDTV has an interesting section (which is just starting up) for 720p MP4 video optimized for the Apple iPad .

ChinaHDTV

With over 14700 registered users and nearly 2500 active torrents in its index, ChinaHDTV is a decently sized private tracker. And the fact that it’s taken them less than three months to reach this state makes it even more impressive. Leecher activity on most of the indexed torrents is excellent with popular releases usually having 50+ seeds each. Download speeds too are pretty good on this site.

As mentioned earlier ChinaHDTV tracks high definition content. This includes movies, music videos, TV shows and documentaries. Majority of available releases are English and are pre’d by renowned scene and P2P groups. Apart from English (United States and European releases) content, you can find movies and TV shows from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and other regions on this tracker. Most of the video files are obtained from Blu-ray, HD DVD, MiniBD (variant of Blu Ray Disk), HDTV or DVDR media sources (untouched or ripped) and usually have excellent video quality. If the translation I read on their homepage is correct, ChinaHDTV will soon ramp up its iPad TV shows section with uploads by an internal release group.

ChinaHDTV Tracker

Being a China based private tracker built on NexuxPHP script, ChinaHDTV by default has a Chinese language interface. You do have the option to switch to English but we recommend you use Google’s Chrome’s built in translation to automatically translate the site to English.

How to translate CCFBits to English with Google Chrome

  1. Download and install the latest version of Google Chrome browser from here.
  2. Visit ChinaHDTV signup page through this link: http://www.chinahdtv.org/signup.php.
  5. Once translation of the first page is done, you can configure Google Chrome so that it automatically translates all CHTDV pages without prompting you. Select the ‘Options’ button (in the translation help popup) and select ‘Always translate Chinese Simplified Hans to English’ from the drop down menu.

Signups for ChinaHDTV are currently open. This is usually a closed community but the doors will be open between 31st of July to 9th August only (or until the site reaches 20k users, whichever comes first).

These are indeed good days for private tracker buffs. Yet another excellent BitTorrent site, TorrentGui (TTG) has opened public registrations and is currently accepting new members. Understandably, some of you out there might not be familiar with the name ‘TTG’. Even though the name is new, this is by no means a new, start up tracker. TorrentGui was previously known as GameGui and used to specialize in video games. Now, it has rebranded itself as TTG and has expanded site operations to track software, movies and TV shows in addition to PC and console games. It has an impressive collection of high definition video content and is home to several P2P encoder groups including ‘WiKi’, who used to release exclusively on HDChina. TTG will be open for public registration for three days starting today.

TorrentGui

With over 35000 registered members (at least in their forums), TTG is one of those huge private trackers. Bulk of this user base migrated from GameGui which itself was one of the largest Chinese torrent sites during its time. Their torrent index is also decently sized with around ~7500 active torrents indexed at time of posting.

Although TTG began as a games only tracker, the site has now expanded to index video content including movies and TV shows. You can even find software and other releases which makes this essentially a General/0Day tracker. If you are wondering, TTG still seems to focus a lot on games and their PC/Console games collection is as impressive as it ever was. In addition, this tracker has quite a few exclusive releases with the help of internal encoder groups such as WiKi (Ex- HDChina), NGB, BPMWell, BD Club, QW (games) and WiiDao (Wii games). The screenshot below captures ofr of TTG’s torrent index:

TTG Screenshot

Although the majority of releases indexed on this tracker are in English, it’s navigation interface does not have an English language translation option – it’s all in Chinese. However, there is no need to worry – you can get over the translation woes with the help of Google Chrome.

How to translate TorrenTGui to English with Google Chrome

  1. Download the latest version of Google Chrome browser from here.
  2. Visit TTG forum homepage through this link: http://torrentgui.com/bbs/index.php.

China certainly hides a lot of HD torrent trackers. We’ve already featured on this blog quite a few well known Chinese trackers (with English content of course) such as HDStar, CHDBits, CCFBits and HDRoad. HDCity is yet another private torrent site which has its roots in the very same country. And guess what? HDCity too is a specialized high definition movie and TV tracker. Like most BitTorrent trackers originating from China, it has a Chinese interface. However, beneath the Chinese interface and in it’s torrent index lies a lot of English and international scene/P2P releases all in high definition video formats.

HDCity

If you are a member of HDStar, you’ll notice that HDCity looks strikingly similar to this tracker. However HDCity seems to a completely different site and is much more than a clone or a carbon copy of HDS. With 8000+ registered members and over 1100 active torrents, it is a medium sized HD torrent tracker.

HDCity indexes movies, TV shows, documentaries and sports videos as well as some lossless music packs. Obviously, all video files are in HD formats (Blu Ray 720p/1080p in x264 container). HDC indexes releases by scene and p2p groups as well as unique packs from other HD trackers such as SceneHD (see screenshot below). Indexing other site’s content is generally considered an unethical practice by most tracker admins – however the users sure wouldn’t mind as they get access to additional torrents.

HDCity Index

Like most other Chinese BitTorrent trackers out there, HDCity has a Chinese only interface. This is probably the single most reason why this tracker is not popular among English speaking user base. However you can figure out most of the tracker functions using Google Translate or by looking at the browser status bar when you hover mouse pointer over a link (don’t miss out on site features -there’s even a seed bonus system here). HDS’s content makes up for its interface – most of the indexed torrents are English.

HDCity is currently open for signup. It is actually one of the few HD trackers from China that are open for registration (at time of this post). If you want, you can create an account and check the site out for yourself.

It’s been a while since we featured an untouched DVD/Blu Ray tracker on FILEnetworks. But our Chinese friends are here to help (and they sure has hell have a lot more BT trackers up their sleeve that we initially thought) – OurDiSC is a private BitTorrent tracker that specializes in untouched DVD (DVDR) and Blu-Ray (BD+) movies. This tracker should appeal to movie fans living in both English speaking countries as well as those living in Asian region. Why? Most of the content tracked by OurDiSC are releases for R1 (DVD Region 1) and R3 (DVD Region 3). If you are interested in joining, signups are currently open and the site’s current max user limit will allow over 1000 new registrations.

ourdisc

This torrent tracker (http://bt.ourdisc.net) is a sister site of ourdisk.net which itself is a Chinese forum. As it usually happens with this kind of sites, the tracker most probably evolved from the success of the forum. However, note that these are two separate entities. http://bt.ourdisc.net (which’s actual name is OurDVD) is a fully fledged private tracker based on TBDEV codebase and is not a forum based site. It’s not a small tracker either. As of 13/2/2010 there are close to  6000 registered users and 3600+ indexed torrents on OurDiSC.

As for the content, most of the movies indexed here are releases for DVD Region 3 (R3 – includes Southeast Asia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau). However this still would be a useful tracker if you are from an English speaking country. Most of the releases come either with an English audio stream, Multilanguage audio or English subtitles. Just to be on the safe side, read the torrent description before you hit download link. An advantage of having this tracker in addition to your usual DVDR/Blu-Ray trackers would be the additional content – OurDiSC tracks some Asian movies not found on regular torrent sites.

Ourdisc index

By default, OurDiSC’s interface is in Chinese language. However, you can easily switch the entire site to English through the profile. Here’s a step by step guide on how to do this:

  1. Sign up for OurDiSC using http://bt.ourdisc.net/signup.php. Use Google Translate or AIRTranslate to help as there is no way to switch the site to English prior to registration.
  2. Once logged in, click on http://bt.ourdisc.net/my.php
  3. Change the language using the drop down, as shown in the screenshot below:

OurDisck Language change

Apart from minor language quirks (all torrent names displayed in Both Chinese and English, even if you have English as preferred language), OurDiSC is a decent tracker. It comes complete with a requests section, a bonus system, torrent enhancements (golden torrents - spinning gold coin), half download - spinning silver coin, 2x upload - two golden coins, etc). Signups are currently open so feel fre to check it out.

The past few days have definitely been great ones for fans of private trackers. We’ve seen some good sites opening up and promising new sites being launched. This post is about another rare open signup of a popular private tracker. JPopsuki, a torrent site which indexes Japanese pop music (J-Pop) as well Korean, Chinese, Thai and other Asian music and TV torrents, drama plus fansubs, has opened registrations after being closed for almost an year. It’s a huge site with tons of torrents and thousands of members and you can probably call it the What.CD for Asian music. The site recently celebrated its 1st year online since v2.0 launch - global free leech has been activated and registrations opened as part of birthday celebrations. For those who still aren’t members (and for dozens of folks who left invite requests in our previous post about this site), this should be a great chance to create an account.

JPopSuki

As you might already be aware, JPopsuki 2.0 runs on a Gazelle implementation. It is in fact one of the largest Gazelle based sites out there with nearly 100000 registered users and around 45000 torrents. Torrent count has nearly tripled and user base almost doubled since we last featured this site on the blog several months ago (back in November 2009 top be precise) . The Gazelle implementation is very well done with fast navigation speeds, smooth visual layout and several cool themes to choose from.

Although JPopsuki started off as a tracker for Japanese pop music albums, it has now expanded to track Korean, Chinese and Thai music as well. However, audio is not all you’d find on JPopsuki - this tracker also has a lot of promotional videos (PV), Fansubs, DVD releases and even TV Drama. Bulk of the torrents are music albums in MP3 format but there are quite a few lossless music torrents as well. A screenshot of the torrent index can be seen below:

JPopsuki Index

Unsurprisingly, JPoPSuki’s staff take a lot of pride in their achievements during the past year. A detailed news post explaining the site’s progress, core features and its future is quoted below (this was originally posted on JPopsuki homepage):

Pretty much exactly 1 Year ago JPopsuki 2.0 went public and registrations were opened for the first time, time for some celebrations, right?
But also time to draw a little resume and look back on the year that passed.
Since then, JPopsuki 2.0 has amassed almost 100000 registered members of which at least 30000 are active each month. While these are not yet numbers we had on the old tracker I guess we cut down considerably on dupe accounts and maybe also on inactive one's. Still, there is space for more ppl and we encourage everyone to invite new ppl to the site you deem worthy... or that they use the open sign-up's as long as they last!
All those fancy ppl were pretty active too! In that year over 55000 torrents were posted on the site, over 43000 of those are still around and 38000 of those are even still actively seeded. Not the worst numbers in my book, but could be better. All those files were downloaded a staggering 5 Million times, resulting in over 4.5PB of traffic produced by our fellow members... quite a lot for 374,659 files (or 22TB) in these torrents! We roughly have about 150 new torrents on the site each day and that's been pretty much the same since the start and isn't really stopping.
The request system could be considered as a success too, with 8100 requests made and 61% of those filled, I'd say that these results are a lot better than what was accomplished by the request forum on the old tracker. :>
Beside all these raw numbers we also got a future rich tracker here with more improvements and new stuff build in it in that year than in the whole 5 years the old tracker was around even tho I've been a lazy ass most of the time. And now that I got a helping hand with RJ, expect even more new stuff in the year(s) to come.
But sure, not everything was rainbows and sunshine, some members might have been pissed off by the fact that they lost all their precious stats and what not, don't like the rules here, miss the rotating banners and the red line and what not.
But I, the staff and a lot of the current members might beg to differ.
Anyway, as celebratory means registrations to the site have been opened and a global freeleech is ongoing till around the end of sunday. So snatch all you missed out on so far and tell your friends that missed open signups.
But please, do not think about creating dupe accounts, we WILL crack down on dupe account owners after registrations are closed again and expect registrations not to be open for another year again.
But beside that, enjoy the freeleech and celebrate a bit with us, maybe give us your own resume on how you think this place has developed and if you still think that it is an improvement/downgrade over JPopsuki 1.0.
To all new arrivals:
Welcome to the party, even if a bit belated! Now that you are new here please check out the Rules, see the Forums and the Help section if you have any questions and do not forget about your bonus points that you might amass in your stay here - use them if you are in a tough spot or on low upload connections.
But beside all that, enjoy your stay here and try to be a productive part of the community.
Happy bday from MellowB and the JPopsuki 2.0 Staff!

As we mentioned earlier, JPopsuki registrations are currently open. It can be assumed that signups would remain open at least until Sunday the 12th. If you are interested in becoming a member, get in while you can – this site doesn’t open up frequently.

Name three things most Chinese BitTorrent trackers have in common – they are all built on the NexusPHP tracker script, they all seem to specializes in HD content and they all have plenty of leechers. For fans of such torrent sites, we are happy to present Pig2Pig, the newest China based HD tracker to enter the BitTorrent scene. Odd sounding name aside, Pig2Pig has managed to grow rather quickly within the first few weeks since its launch – today it's a decent torrent site filled with active members and a healthy flow of new daily torrents. You can download high definition video content including movies, TV shows, sports and documentaries (both scene and P2P releases) from this tracker. In addition to HD releases, PIG2PIG tracks some PC and console games as well. Signups are currently open and if you are looking forward to being a member of a fast growing HD tracker, check this site out.

PIG2PIG

Launched a couple of months ago, PIG2PIG was off to a rocky start with several downtimes earlier on. However, the site recovered well and has since been able to build a somewhat strong user base. With close to 10000 registered users and open signups poised to bring in some more, PIG2PIG does not have that much to worry about when it comes to user activity. The site currently tracks close to 6000 torrents, most of which have good seeder activity leading to better download speeds.

As mentioned earlier, PIG2PIG is primarily is high definition torrent tracker. You can find all major scene and non scene HD releases including movies, TV shows, anime, sports and documentaries here. However, they currently do not have an internal release group so don’t expect to find a lot of exclusive, unique stuff. A screenshot depicting part of P2P’s torrent index is attached  – some of the video formats and torrent categories available on this tracker can be seen below:

PIG2PIG Index

PIG2PIG is based on China and the default site language is Chinese. However, if you are an English speaking user, you can easily switch the language using the drop down menu located at top right corner of signup page. Speaking of signups, there is a noticed posted on site mentioning that open signups would close on the 16th of June. However they are still open and you can still create an account on PIG2PIG without an invite.

As we mentioned earlier (via a Tweet), almost every private torrent tracker based in China seem to specialize in HD content. We’ve already covered about HDChina, HDStar, CHDBits, CCFBits, etc but that’s not all there is – here comes another. HDRoad is a China based private tracker that specializes in HD content. It has all sorts of HD content including Blu Ray movies, HDTV shows, TrueHD encodes, etc. The main concern for English speaking users would be the site interface – it’s in Chinese. However if you can tolerate the interface, you’ll find yourself to be a member of a private tracker rich with HD content. Yes – most of the indexed releases are international content released in UK/US and almost all have English audio.

HDRoad

HDRoad might not be popular in BitTorrent forums and such but the site has a decent user base; Currently there are over 13000 registered members. Close to 2500 active torrents are also indexed (as of 15/10/1985), making it a medium sized HD tracker compared to most other similar sites.

As we mentioned earlier, site interface is entirely in Chinese – English labels are not available even for the most used site functions such as Browse, Home, etc. Nevertheless, you should be able to easily find your way around HDRoad even without a translator as it follows standard private tracker layout.

Unlike the interface, most of the torrents indexed at HDRoad have English audio (torrent title is given in both English and Chinese so no problems there too). Movies and TV shows are indexed under the following set of categories:

Blu-ray/HDDVD, REMUX, HDTV/HDTVRip, BDRe/HDRe, CD, 1080P, 1080i, A1080, 720P, A720,LPCM, DTS-HDMA/DTS-HDHR, TrueHD, DTS(DTS-HDCore), AC-3(DD), APE, FLAC

They seem to have a lot of releases encoded by MySilu (which if I’m not mistaken is a DDL forum – probably HDRoad’s sister site). Even these encodes have English audio.

A screenshot of the torrent index at HDRoad is given below:

HDRoad Index

Getting into HDRoad is pretty easy (at least for now). Site is open for registration and interested readers can create a free account. If it remains open till the max user limit (15000) is reached, there will be space for 1500 new signups.

Site Name: HDRoad (http://hdroad.org)

Signup Process:

  1. Register on MySilu forums via the link http://www.mysilu.com/register.php
  2. Use the same username you used in step 1 to create an account on HDRoad. Signup form may be found at http://hdroad.org/signup.php. You can of course sign up directly for the tracker – but there is a warning on site that says non linked accounts will be deleted.

You might want to use Google Translate if you can’t figure out which fields mean what, in the signup forms.

Here is an update on two private torrent trackers currently open for signup; HDChina and DVDQuorum. HDChina is an HD Movie and TV Shows tracker while DVDQuorum is a DVD-R tracker. Read on for more information on these trackers.

DVDQuorum

Site Name: DVDQuorum

Description: DVDQuorum is a private torrent tracker with Spanish origins. It indexes DVD5/DVD9 untouched movie DVDRs. Although the site has a lot of Spanish movies, there is a significant amount of English movies available as well. It’s pretty large for a private tracker with 42500+ users and 12500+ active torrents.

Signup Process:

The signup process at DVDQuorum is a bit odd. You need to first sign up in their forums and then use that user name when registering for the tracker.

  1. Register in forums: http://www.dvdquorum.es/foro/index.php?action=register
  2. Click confirmation mail to activate forum account.
  3. Register for tracker: http://bt.dvdquorum.es/signup.php (Use the same username in both instances)
  4. Click confirmation mail to activate account.

HDChina

Site Name: HDChina

Description: HDChina is Chinese torrent tracker which indexes TV Shows and Movies in High Definition (HD) format. Site interface is mainly Chinese but important functions have their English meaning inside brackets. HDChina has a lot of English content even though the tracker is of Chinese origin. Signups are currently open but slots are being filled quite fast and there are only around 2000 more sports left.
