A couple of days ago we featured on this blog theRenamer, a great software the could rename downloaded movie and TV show video files by automatically inserting episode names, titles, etc to the file name. While the software did an excellent job on renaming video files, it did not rename any associated subtitle files. As you might know, most computer applications, built in media players on DVD, Blu-Ray players & modern TVs require subtitle file names to match those of video file names for subtitles streams to display properly. When file names are mismatched, you will be left with the painstaking task of renaming each file manually, which can take quite some time if you are dealing with something like a TV show with multiple seasons. SubDude is a useful little utility that can automate this rename process and save you a lot of time.

SubDude

To clear any confusion, SubDude does not only work with video files renamed using theRenamer. You can use it to automatically rename even downloaded subtitles. Following table shows how SubDude will rename the subtitle file of a single TV episode:

  Before SubDude After SubDude
Video Filename The.Sopranos.s03e01.avi The.Sopranos.s03e01.avi
Subtitle Filename The-Sopranos3x1.srt The.Sopranos.s03e01.srt

How this software works is pretty simple. It matches the season and episode numbers in video and subtitle files using regular expressions (RegEx) and renames the matches accordingly. Below are some instructions on how to use the app, in case you didn’t figure it out already":

  1. Move all your subtitle files and video files inside a single directory (see notes below for additional details).
  2. Launch SubDude. In the ‘Rename’ tab, browse and point to the directory with files you created in Step 1.
  3. If you want to later undo the rename actions, check ‘Create and unDude file’ checkbox.
  4. Press Go.

Important Notes (Quoted from developer page):

  • SubDude assumes that every files in the folder are from the same show and checks season and episode numbers only.
  • Subdude uses regular expressions to detect season and episode numbers. Most common patterns (TVShow-s04e01, TVShow-4x1 etc) are handled, however Subdude will eventually fail to detect season and episode numbers on certain files (TVShow401 etc). This problem is being worked on.

Readers familiar with our movie release date updates would need no further introduction as to what PeerAccess (PA) is. It’s one of the most up to date sources on the internet for latest home movie release dates on R1, R2, R5 DVD and Blu Ray disks. While this fact about the forum seems to be quite well known, most people don’t appear to be aware that PA is also a file sharing forum with BitTorrent news, tracker discussions, open signup updates, seedbox reviews and of course, invite giveaways and requests. It is also the official home of TOXiC, a P2P release group specializing in movies. PA recently went through an ownership change and has been closed for registration for over 4 months. However the site has re-opened its doors to the public with a new look, new content and as usual, more updated DVD/Bluray release dates.

PeerAccess Logo

Although its only about a year and a half old, PeerAccess has gone through quite a few changes during this time, some of them involving changes to site administration. PA recently re-launched under a new ownership along with a new look and feel. Their BitTorrent section seem to have received a boost after the reboot but thankfully, the sites main highlight, the release date threads, remain as up-to date as ever.

Speaking of the release dates section, PA maintains up to date lists of official DVD and Blu Ray release dates of upcoming movies. Scheduled dates for DVD regions 1, 2, and 5 (R1, R2, R5) are well organized and listed in separate forum sections. Wondering how knowing a release date in advance can help you? Well, one can pretty much guess *when* a particular movie will leak online if you know its public DVD/BluRay release date. These schedules are subject to frequent change due to last minute decisions by publishers. This is one reason why most R5/R1/R2 predictions on the web soon become out of date. However, PA is one of the rare forums which regularly update its threads to reflect new schedules (which is qhy we quote them in our R5 release updates such as this). A screenshot of the release dates section can be found below:

PeerAccess Release Dates

PeerAccess is not a brand new forum and has been online for over a year. The site has so far managed to recruit around 600 members who’ve created over 1300 thrads (these statistics are after a database reset happened several months ago). It may not be the most active forum out there but the growth has been healthy. If you still haven’t got in, registrations have been opened after 4 months.

Pretty much all of us download TV shows and movies from the internet (let it be from file sharing sites such as BitTorrent trackers, direct download link forums or even by a legitimate means) and store them on our desktops, laptops, portable hard drives or media player PCs. However, most of the downloaded files have different kinds of naming conventions – for example, some shows have merely the season and episode numbers while some others carry episode name as well. What if you want to rename all your media files to a standard you like? Manually doing this for each file would be a tedious task (think about a show with several seasons). The is where theRenamer comes in. It’s an excellent utility that helps you automatically rename your media files. And it’s not just a batch rename tool either; give theRenamer a file (or a set of files) which just has the episode and season number and the app will automatically fetch the episode name online and rename the file accordingly.

TheRenamer Logo

You can fully customize the way your video files are renamed. Under default settings, theRenamer will strip off release group name and video quality details in file and add the episode name if its missing. theRenamer is able to fetch media information from four different online sources; IMDB, TV.com, TheTVDB and EPGuides.com. Below are some examples of renamed files (using default settings, without changing anything in the app after a fresh install):

Original Auto Renamed
The.Simpsons.S22E01.720p.HDTV.X264-DIMENSION The Simpsons.S22E01.Elementary School Musical
The.Big.Bang.Theory.S04E19.PROPER. HDTV.XviD-LD The Big Bang Theory.S04E19.The Zarnecki Incursion
frasier.622-med Frasier.S06E22.Visions of Daphne

Usage of theRenamer is very simple. To rename a file, all you have to do is the drag and drop and the app will do the rest. If you are dealing with multiple files, simply select all and drag them in – this tool is able to perform batch operations and will reformat all your file names in a couple of seconds.

TheRenamer Screenshot

A full list of theRenamer features can be found below (quoted from official site page):

  • A user interface that's idiot proof - using Drag & Drop.
  • Fuzzy Logic sorts out the Show name, Season/Episode numbers (S1E1, 1x1 or 101 formats).
  • Queries the most advanced search engine – Google
  • Automatically grabs the official show name and episode titles from the most comprehensive movie database on the web - IMDb.com, TV.com, theTVDB.com and EPGUIDES.com.
  • Database: Simple and automatic table for keeping track of TV website's ID number.
  • Force show names: Lets you customize how the Show Name is named (if you prefer shorter names).
  • Fetch Folder: Scans all files in that directory. Point it to your 'Download Complete' folder. For people who are
too lazy to Drag & Drop.....I love it :)
  • Auto Move: Automatically moves files to your TV Show Archive after it's renamed.
  • Fully automate the entire rename and move process with parameter (theRenamer.exe -fetch and -fetchmovie)
  • MOVIES! theRenamer now supports Movie files as well.
  • Auto creates IMDb shortcut link to IMDb movie webpage.

Despite being an excellent utility, like all software out there this is not a perfect application. I got an “EPISODE TITLE MISSING” error for some files I tried to rename – this bug is apparently fixed now but I still got the error in the latest build (v7.5). Either way it’s just a minor annoyance and the fact remains this is a highly useful tool for anyone who downloads shows and movies online.

Back when DivxStage launched in 2009, very few people would have thought the site would become as successful as it is today. Not only has it survived for more than two years in cyberspace with a top 15000 Alexa ranking, but in 2011 it’s known as one of the best destinations to watch or host streaming media online. At a glace, DxS might look like yet another video hosting service. However, that isn’t entirely true. Users are able to browse or search through the majority of files uploaded to the site, making it a great place to find and watch full movies, TV shows and other video content online. Video playback on DivXStage hosted media is powered by DivX Web Player, a HTML5 based online video player created by Sonic Solutions. Uploading and watching streaming video with basic privileges is free on DivXStage and a premium plan is available will added benefits.

DivXStage

DivXStage launched couple of years ago, advertising itself as a hosting provider for media files. And even today, most people know of for its hosting capabilities only. Perhaps the following in their FAQ may have helped create this mindset:

Can I search for files other people uploaded
Currently we do not allow such service because not everyone likes to share the files they upload. Our service aim is either to give you a way to share large files or to keep them as a private backup.

Despite the above statement in FAQ, DxS does allow users to search its database (at least a part of it). Open the ‘Directory’ tab and try searching for a movie that recently got leaked online. Chance are that you’ll get multiple results for the search, including scene releases as well as P2P encodes of the complete movie.

DivxStage Index

As we mentioned earlier, playback on DxS hosted videos is powered by DivX Web Player. It’s not the best online media player out there but a lot of DivX sites including StageVU and DxS use it (download the free version from here). You need a pretty fast internet connection to get the best out of streaming and if you run into issues such as never ending buffering, videos not being played back with black screen, etc, the troubleshooting articles located here and here might help.

Uploading and watching streaming video with basic privileges is free on DivXStage. However, they do have a premium plan which removes advertisements, enables high speed streaming and allows video downloading (there are several browser extensions making this already possible on the free plan).

The R5 DVD Format – Background information:

The R5 format was first introduced to minimize DVD movie piracy in areas such as Russia, Indian subcontinent and Africa. These DVDs are usually released ahead of other regions and are cheaper than their R1/R2 counterparts (in an attempt to convert would-be pirates). However, scene/P2P groups too use this to their advantage by making releases combining video ripped from R5 DVDs (which have near DVDRip quality) and English audio from CAM/TS sources. A R5 is the next best thing for BitTorrent downloaders unless a DVDRip, BRRip or a true HD copy of the movie is already available.

With the 83rd Oscar academy awards ceremony just around the corner, it’s a time of celebration for movie fanatics. The veteran BitTorrent tracker/release blog BTArena is joining in on the celebrations in style; BTArena’s Oscars project is back for a third time, this time for the 2011 awards. If you have never heard about this before, this project deals primarily with leaked Oscar nominated movies. Although tightened security procedures by movie publishers did reduce the number of leaks compared to 2010, it’s no secret that a number of Oscar nominated movies are already available for download on file sharing networks across the world. BTArena’s aim is to bring all these leaked torrents and direct downloads together under a single page, where everyone can easily download them.

Oscar 2011 BTArena

While some of you may be hearing about this for the first time, BTArea has been doing it before every academy awards ceremony since 2009. The project is basically a separate page on BTArena site in which current Oscar awards categories and nominated movies for each award are listed. Next to each nomination is a link through which you can download a copy of the related movie via BitTorrent or one click hosting sites. Download links to all but 18 nominated movies are available (most of the missing links are for shorts). These links point to verified, non fake torrent files hosted on BTArena’s tracker. Note that private torrent tracker fans may not like this since all links point to torrents hosted on public trackers.

Here we go – our first R5 DVD release dates update for the year 2011. As most of you would already know, knowing the DVD release date of a movie in advance is useful if you are planning to actually buy the DVD off the shelves. But it comes in handy even if you are a pirate too. Although movies don’t have an official ‘leak online date’ set by publishers, you can pretty much guess when some movies will appear on file sharing networks if you know their DVD Region 5 (R5) release date. A while ago we posted an article about PeerAccess (PA), a file sharing related forum home to P2P release group T0XiC. Despite being the official home of an exclusive movie enocder team, PA was best known amongst the file sharing community for a totally different reason; R5 movie release dates - the site had probably the best maintained R5, R1, R2 DVD and Blu Ray movie release dates on the web. These lists were being updated on a regular basis, with incorrect dates being removed and new entries added. Just when things were going very smoothly, PA ran into some trouble last month and it appears that they had to rebuild the site from scratch. Good news is that PA is now back online, fully functional, with a new look and with all of its favorite features intact.

PeerAccess

The most popular feature on PeerAccess is without a doubt their DVD release dates section. PA has a separate forum section which indexes release dates for DVDs and Blu-Ray disks in region 1, 2, and 5 (R1, R2, R5). So how does knowing a release date help the average pirate? Well, you can pretty much guess *when* a particular movie will leak online, if you know its public DVD release date. These schedules are subject to frequent change due to last minute decisions by publishers. This is one reason why most R5/R1/R2 predictions on the web soon become out of date. However, PA is one of the rare forums I have seen which regularly update its threads to reflect new schedules. This is one reason why we quote from their lists in out monthly R5 update articles such as this one.

PeerAccess Release Dates

In addition to the popular Release Dates section, PeerAccess also contains a BitTorrent tracker invite section, tracker reviews, seedbox reviews, open signup news, torrent reviews, screens and samples from latest movie releases as well as links to new movie trailers. Additionally, PA is the official home of P2P movie release group T0XiC. New site does not contain any exclusive T0XiC encodes just yet but according to a message posted on site, TOXiC RG plans to restart their operations soon.

Recent downtime seems to have reset PA’s user database and the new site is pretty much re built from scratch. Within a couple of days into the (re)launch, there are 200+ threads and 100+ active members registered. Of course, not all of these threads have high activity just yet as the forum is still at the starting stage, but over time and with more members, it could really kick off. For those interested in joining, registrations are currently open.

Lots of people seem to be interested in getting to know movie DVD release dates in advance. Usually, this information is easily obtainable from stores that sell DVDs, both online and offline. But how about guessing when a movie will leak online? Although movies don’t have an official ‘leak-to-P2P date’ scheduled by publishers, you can pretty much guess when some movies will appear on file sharing networks if you know their DVD Region 5 (R5) release date. The R5 format was first introduced to reduced DVD movie piracy in areas such as Russia, Indian subcontinent and Africa. These DVDs are usually released ahead of other regions and movie pirates use them as early video sources for their uploads. If you are wondering where we get R5/R1 release date details from, no we don’t gather this information ourselves. Instead, we use several well known online sources that have proved to be reliable in the past to get the updated info. For example, the source for this article was the release date threads on PeerAccess (which seemed to be the most up to date at time of this post). PeerAccess is a DDL forum and you can see a detailed review of the site along with screenshots here.

What’s the best private tracker to download BRRips? This is a question we see all too often in our E-mail inbox. BRRip and BDRip are two relatively new video release types that saw the light after the launch of Blu Ray disk format. These are usually XViD or x264 encoded rips made using a Blu Ray video source. Although not considered as true HD encodes, BRRips usually have a higher video resolution and image quality compared to regular DVDRip releases. In fact, a good BRRip usually has better image quality than even a DVD5/DVD9 DVDR release. Additionally, these often have lesser file size than regular 720p and 1080p Blu Ray encodes (usually 2-3GB as opposed to 4-13GB) and are becoming increasingly popular amongst BitTorrent users with relatively low bandwidth internet connections. While almost every tracker on the planet tracks XViD encoded DVDRip releases, only a select few index Blu Ray Rips. Coming back to the original question, which private tracker has the largest collection of BRRip/BDRip torrents?

If you are looking to download BRRips/BDRips, first tip would be to stop looking in scene only trackers. These are not popular release formats amongst scene release groups and even the best scene trackers such as SCC have only a handful of such releases (SCC only has around 90 torrents). P2P oriented groups on the other hand have had much more success with these formats.

Tracker No. Of Blu Ray Rips Notes
IPTorrents ~4000 The actual number of movies may even be higher as the torrent count includes ~100 movie packs.
Demonoid 2240+ Yeah, Demonoid. Never ceases to amaze :p
RevolutionTT 1700 This includes XvidHD releases by NPW.
TorrentLeech 1550 Finding BRRips on TL is easy. Just browse the NonScene/BRRip-x264 and NonScene/BRRip-XviD categories.
BiTTURK 1450 Home to group D-ZON3 which releases a lot of BRRips
ExtremeShare 960 Signups currently open.
LeechTurk 950
CN 880
LastTorrents 730 Signups open.
TorrentDay 580 Tracks NPW XvidHD releases. Signups open.
PTN 360 Again, the actual number of BRRip movies tracked is a lot higher than 360 as some of these are movie packs.

As you can see from the table above, IPTorrents leads the pack with nearly 4000 BRRip/BDRip torrents. IPT indexes a huge number of releases from SANTi, D-ZON3, JEZZA, Rx, FLAWL3SS (who release non HD rips internally on IPT) and a number of other P2P groups who frequently release Blu Ray rips. Some of you might be surprised not to see specialized movie trackers up in the list – well this is once instance where having access to a huge general tracker pays off (and remember, we’re talking about 2-3GB Blu Ray rips here – thousands of full HD 720p/1080p releases indexed on HDBits, etc were not counted). Speaking of movie trackers, a good niche site to download x264 BRRip releases from is x264.me. This tracker has it’s own internal encoders and has releases not found anywhere else.

If you are looking to download BRRips you now know where to go. Those who still haven’t given this format a try, don’t forget to check it out. While not true HD releases, BRRips have greater video quality and lesser file size. These should be ideal for folks on systems with SD video and/or if you are worried about internet bandwidth. If you know any other torrent sites that track a lot of BRRip releases, feel free to share them here – surely we must have missed some of them :)

We’ve been posting regular updates about R5 movie DVD release dates in the past couple of months. However, it’s not very easy to predict the exact launch date of a movie as these releases often get pushed around, postponed, etc due to last minute decisions by publishers. Here’s an updated, more accurate list of R5 release dates for the months of June, July and August 2010 – this list includes more movies & corrected dates compared to our last update located here. In addition to R5, release dates for several Blu Ray movies are also listed. Some of you might ask why knowing when the R5 would be out is important. Over the past couple of years R5 has become one of the ‘early video sources’ for scene and P2P groups who leak movies online  – the release of an R5 DVD means that a watchable pirated copy of the same movie is just around the corner.

You hear about movies being leaked via BitTorrent all the time – scene and P2P groups make sure that these are all shared online, whether movies makers and distributors like it or not. Of course, right now there aren’t many publishers who embrace BitTorrent as a distribution medium. However, there are folks who willingly share their work via BitTorrent at no cost at all. Makers of Indie movie Self Helpless belong to that rare segment of movie producers – they have released their independent movie via BitTorrent and encourage torrenters to share it  with as many people as they like. For those who are not into BitTorrent, an online streaming version is available for free through NinjaVideo.

Self Helpless

Here’s how Adam Jaroszewski, a co-director and co-writer of Self Helpless, explained their decision to release the movie on BitTorrent:

Instead of fighting downloaders we're embracing them. Basically we want our movie to spread far and wide because we know that the community supports art and content it truly enjoys. We're confident there's a large audience for Self Helpless, and we want to give people the chance to check it out.

By our estimation, the Self Helpless torrents and streamed video on ninjavideo have been viewed about 5000+ times in its first 5 days. And the community is starting to show some support. Being avid downloaders, it seems pretty damn clear to my team and me that bittorrent is here to stay and will be playing a major role in the future of content distribution. This is true irrespective of what the current powers-that-be want. We're sort of confused as to why more content creators don't get this and adapt, but I'm betting they eventually will.

Given below are download links and other resources related to Self Helpless. By all means, download it, watch it and share it with your friends :)

The R5 (DVD for Region 5 ) format was first introduced to reduce DVD movie piracy in areas such as Russia, Indian subcontinent and Africa. R5 DVDs are usually released before other regions and this has made them a popular source for online movie leaks. As it stands right now, if you know the R5 release date of a movie you can pretty much guess when that particular movie will leak online.

If you’ve been following release blogs on the internet you probably already know about BTArena.org. It’s a popular site which provides information about latest scene and p2p releases along with a host of accompanying resources such as torrent/one click hosting links, trailers, NFO, video clips etc . Unlike most other release blogs which simply link to external sites, BTARENA hosts links, .torrent files, video etc on their own servers (links.btarena.org, tracker.btarena.org (their own BT tracker), video.btarena.org). Some of you might remember the ‘Oscars 2009 Project’ by the release blog which drew a lot of attention back then. The project in which they collect links to all Oscar nominated movies that have leaked online, is back for another round in year 2010.

Oscar 2010 Pirate

The project is simply a separate page on BTArena site in which  current Oscar awards and their nominations are listed. Next to each nomination is a link through which you can download a copy of the related movie via BitTorrent/one click hosting sites. The link is color coded with green designating  a DVDRip and blue for DVDSCR and other copies with lesser video quality. Releases by movie groups from the scene as well as peer-to-peer oriented sources are indexed. Of course, not all Oscar nominated movies have leaked online (not yet anyways) – movie names in Red have no downloadable release available and users are welcome to share a copy if they have access to one.

The R5 (DVD for Region 5 ) format was first introduced to reduced DVD movie piracy in areas such as Russia, Indian subcontinent and Africa. These DVDs were cheaper but had identical image and audio quality to R1/R2 DVD releases. However, some lacked DVD special features present in other regions [Read more about R5 from here]. Note that above dates may not always be accurate. DVD release dates constantly change and the above is merely an early draft of what’s to come. On a side note, some really good movies are scheduled for release in 2010.

R5 DVDs usually have a non English audio stream local to the country which is release is being made (i.e. Russian). Needless to say it wouldn’t be too popular among pirates in English speaking countries if the movie is leaked in this form. So what really happens is, a group (such as ELEKTRIKA) releases the original untouched DVD and later some other group replaces it’s foreign audio stream with English audio, rips it, and re-releases it to scene/p2p sources later. In other words, if you know the R5 release date of a movie, you can pretty much guess when it’ll be leaked online.

When it comes to automatic subtitle downloaders, SubDownloader is probably the most widely used. However the Windows version of SubDownloader now comes only as a 30 day shareware which is a big turn off. You could of course crack it but why bother when there are other free alternatives around? Sublight is one such software that is also capable of automatically downloading subtitles for movies and TV shows you watch. The app uses several popular subtitle sites to search and retrieve content. You can either integrate Sublight with a media player of your choice or you can use it as a standalone subtitle downloader utility.

Sublight Screenshot

Sublight’s behavior is very similar to that of Subdownloader – select the video file you want subtitles downloaded for and the app will automatically search the databases for it and offer download links to a list of matching subs. It also allows you to manually search the DBs using your own search criteria. Speaking of databases, Sublight supports following subtitle repositories:

  • divx-titlovi
  • divxfinland
  • subdivx
  • podnapsi
  • allsubs

There are some other fancy features such as ‘play video with subtitle’, view latest uploaded subtitles, subtitle publishing, IMDB links, NOF file links, etc. More info may be found in their Wiki located here. Note that you can set the subtitle language during setup.

It’s a well known fact that movies leak on BitTorrent all the time. There are hundreds of movie release groups both scene and non scene that specializes in such releases. Sometimes, the same movie may be leaked by various groups with differences in video quality. When this happens it can be quite confusing to find which release has the best video quality – even pirates would like to get their hands on the best that’s available. This is where Screenshot Comparison comes in. It’s an online service that allows users to compare screenshots of different movie releases.

District9 Comparison

The idea behind ScreenshotComparision is pretty simple. Two screenshots (depicting the same scene) taken from two different movie releases are placed on top of each other, on a canvas. When the user hovers mouse cursor over the canvas, screenshot from the first release is shown. On mouse out, screen cap from second image replaces the first [See sample here]. In fact, even the slightest differences in image quality can easily be identified through this method.

Like all services, Screenshot Comparison is not perfect. For example there is no guarantee that you’ll be able to compare between every movie release out there. SC does not automatically pull it’s data as scene and p2p releases are pre’d – the service is entirely user driven. All screen captures and comparisons are submitted by users so what you can compare is limited by this factor. Also, I noticed some caparisons where images did not load or kept displaying the ‘loading’ message forever.

Either way it’s a pretty interesting service. Note that the service’s homepage takes you to the ‘submit’ page where you can submit your own screens and new comparisons. To find what users have already submitted, use the ‘Search’ feature or ‘See all’ from the top toolbar.

Earlier we used to post about popular movie leaks as separate posts on this blog. However with so many release blogs around (which are often faster than us), we figured this had little use to our readers. So now we only update via Twitter when hit movies are leaked on BitTorrent. Anyway here is a little heads up on several Hollywood blockbusters that would most probably hit torrent sites (DVD quality copies that is, not CAM or TS) in the months of August/September 2009. This speculation is based on the fact that DVD for region 5 (R5) release dates for these titles are scheduled for the next two months.

August 2009

  • I Love You, Man (2009) - August 11
  • Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009) - August 13
  • Killer Bean Forever (2009) - August 13
  • Terminator Salvation (2009) - August 20
  • Funny People (2009) - August 25
  • The Boat That Rocked (2009) - August 25

September 2009

  • All About Steve (2009) - September 3
  • Fighting (2009) - September 8
  • Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past (2009) - September 8
  • The Invention of Lying (2009) - September 8
  • This Side of the Truth (2009) - September 8
  • District 9 (2009) - September 10
  • Inglourious Basterds (2009) - September 15
  • State Of Play (2009) - September 22
  • Aliens in the Attic (2009) - September 24
  • They Came from Upstairs (2009) - September 24
  • Monsters VS. Aliens (2009) - September 25
  • Observe And Report (2009) - September 29
  • Young Americans (2009) - September 29

Source – MovieFreak, IRC, Various

Note that the above mentioned dates might not always be 100% accurate. Sometimes the release date is postponed and sometimes leaked copies make it into BitTorrent even before an official release is made ( as you can see from Ice Age 3).

If you don’t know what an R5 is, it’s a DVD release for region 5 (most of Africa, Former Soviet Union, the Indian subcontinent, Mongolia and North Korea). R5 DVDs usually do not have English audio but groups who release pirated versions make it a point to embed an English audio stream from a previously released TS or CAM. This means an R5 has almost the same video quality as a DVDRip but lower sound quality [Read more about R5 on Wikipedia].

And it was heartbreaking to see that I have to wait till November for Transformers 2 R5 to be released.

When it comes to P2P movie releasers, aXXo is without a doubt the most popular. aXXo has been releasing 700MB XViD movies since 2005 and by 2009 he has released over 1000 movie titles primarily on BitTorrent networks. Although there is constant debate on aXXo movies being re-encodes of scene releases, there is no denying the fact that aXXo is a celebrity among p2p fans. This popularity has its downsides – by now, aXXo is a prime target for anti p2p and anti piracy organizations across the world.
